I guess you could say that you can listen to a song and think "hm... this sounds like Rezz" but mostly because of the genre and prefered elements. It's like saying that "all potato chips have the same taste" because they're made of potato.

I don't think your argument is solid tho. Is like saying that all bands that use acoustic guitar sound the same and that they're one trick because they don't use the accordeon, don't you think? There's more to music than that. And another thing is that not all musicians are going to be disruptive and 100% innovative on their genre. It's only natural as music industry is made by artists inspired by other artists. I agree with you about Deadmau5 tho. I think he chooses what he think's gonna sell. But don't you think that if it sells it means that it's not that bad? I mean, I hate fortnite but I can't deny that just too many people like that game.
