Thanks for the video. How did you get the impedances used for the PCE simulation?
@profhalimboutayebАй бұрын
@@MfonobongUko-w5x The circuit at the second step of the design should be tuned for rload, input power and input impedance associated with those values simultaneously to get the highest PCE.

thankyou so much sir for this video ......sir, I have designed the same circuit but my power conversion efficiency is zero at 1.8GHz i don't know why ?
@profhalimboutayebАй бұрын
@@upmasingh888 thank you very much for your support. 1. Make sure that the load resistance and input power are correct(in dBm). 2. check your diode model to make sure that you have added all values mentioned in data sheet 3. In final equation the input power unit is in watt, make aure that you have used the correct equation. 4. also check the S11 by LSSP to see if you have a good impedance matching at the input. Thanks

Sir could you please tell how would you determined optimal load value and capacitance is they are assumptions or are they calculated
@profhalimboutayeb22 күн бұрын
@@mpavan1404 Load resistance along with the input power and input impedance(r and x in the schematic) should be tuned in a way that provide maximum PCE. You can see the effect of rload in your schematic by changing the value. For load capacitance you should get the the value based on the frequency in this design it has been chosen 100 pf to meet the output voltage ripple requirement.

@profhalimboutayeb sir u mean after verifying different values of load resistance u finally acheived better efficiency for 2700 ohms ??
@mpavan140422 күн бұрын
And sir is ADS itself check for different values of load resistances or we should place a random value of load resistance and check whether it meets our desired criteria like better efficiency if not we assume other values for load resistance
@profhalimboutayeb22 күн бұрын
@@mpavan1404 Yes exactly, and you can see that it has a significant impact on efficiency.

how to take diode modeling for different frequencies For SMS7630 is it same for every rectifier
@profhalimboutayeb14 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment. If you want to use different diodes you need to follow the same process, but the specification and parasitic elements are different. You can find them in the datasheet or other references. But for rectifier it is better to use the schottky diode.

hello Sir, how did you get (R=23) and (X=118)?
@profhalimboutayeb16 күн бұрын
It has been tuned along with the rload and input power to get the highest amount of PCE. These three parameter should be tuned simultaneously to get the highest PCE

@profhalimboutayeb16 күн бұрын
@@JTKhopefuls We can choose the mentioned parametres as variables and use the tuning or optimization tool to get the best results. Or you can try the simulation for the best tload and pin then use the tools to achieve the best input impedance values.

Furthermore is R=23 & X=118 the input impedance of the entire circuitry(voltage doubler,output filter and load resistor)? 2.why do we need to add this value to our port(Ptone) ?
@profhalimboutayeb16 күн бұрын
Yes exactly, it is for the entire circuit, we need to know this impedance to be able to design a matching circuit that converts this impedance to 50 ohm source. We need to put this value at the port impedance, because in this stage we do not have the matching circuit, otherwise we can not see the accurate value for PCE. It is done to mimic the conjugate match condition for the circuit.
