I only agree with the loading times! I have no problems with the other points. And rFactor 2 has the BEST spacial audio: with my headset I can hear the individual locations of the opponent cars around me - like echo-location! No other games (including Assets Corsa) doesn't have this awesome feature!

Agree. There are bunch rather small issues, seemingly, that halts the sim big time. I am still enjoying it a ton, because I am doing physics for my own, by now I have collected plenty of epic cars, and I probably have bunch of most enjoyable historic cars content in rF2... well at least in my mind lol rF2 community though seems to prefer badly made stuff. As a historic cars guy, I would add proper clutch simulation lacking in rF2 as one of bigger issues that was never solved. I think another issue, big issue, is that gJed was abandoned. If it was developed properly, rF2 probably would be getting 10x more mods, maybe 50x more. I'll never delete it. I don't see any other sim replacing it in next 20 years. I think simulation world will be stuck on AC1 physics level and iRacing pay service for years to come. There is a solid chance though that after development of LMU, rF2 development might get restored.

Agree with most of this. I used to almost exclusively race with RF2 but the things I didn't like about it that could have been fixed never got fixed. So as time went by and other sims such as AMS2 were getting fixed I slowly used it less and less. The other thing that annoyed me was how much the fps was affected if you turned up the graphics. I know I'm not supposed to care about graphics and eye candy but in my opinion every facet of a racing sim IS important. Sure it is better to have better physics than better eye candy but appearance is still a factor in how immersive and realistic a racing sim is. So now we have Le Mans Ultimate. I can easily afford to buy it but I haven't as to me it should have been DLC for rFactor2 and improvements made for LMU should be inserted into the rest of RF2 as part of the DLC update. Then maybe I would return to RF2. Maybe that's what they will eventually do when LMU moves into full release, and its problems have been sorted, but I'm not holding my breath.

in my opinion, rf2 ffb on belt wheel is even better than ac acc iracing on dd wheel.

The UI is good, the physics, tire model and FFB are the best and most realistic that your money can buy, only comparable with LMU and AMS2, the audio is very good, the loading times are not bad, it just takes a little of patience, the FFB reset is very occasional, it only happened to me with the T300 but since I have the Moza R9 it has never happened to me, in any case is just set a button and if you are unlucky you press it and that's it, the free content is very good, except the BMW M2 and some old circuits, the paid content from 2021 onwards is excellent and varied, it has the most relevant categories there are, LMP1-2-3, GTE, GT3, Indycar, BTCC, Formula E, Formula 3-4, Nascar and some incredible cars like the BMW M4, Caterham or Radical, the performance in VR is good with OpenXR, only the HUD is a little old and not adapted to VR but there are HUDs in the workshop that solve it and soon with Racelabs, it has online competitive system with high-level people, usually respectful and who know how to racing, seriously, what game/simulator have you played? The only thing it lacks is more people who thanks to people like you, do not try it and indirectly do not buy it and it does not give the developers the opportunity to continue improving it and increasing the team because they do not earn enough money. I'm sure you like iRacing more, go iRenting with carton tires, I don't know why this video, nor why I have seen it and something else, it's abandoned for the moment, but they've already said that it's not the end yet...

same here.. I'm just sticking to AC for now.. it just runs perfect, and trust me, AC has been a big pain over the years. But now it is perfect. RF2 was just way too much work. Especially when you add VR. So sad to see such a giant fall.

I think relatively recent menu updates are a decent sweet spot, and far from outdated, considering it's like, a third revision lol. At least on par with other titles now, and maybe even better in some aspects, like the setup screen. But yeah that out of the way I think for some time they could focus on fixing some legacy gmotor bugs that have been since forever, instead of focusing on adding new paid content as often as they do now

I could never get it to work, I installed every package, then it crashed, then I just installed a single package, still crashed, no matter which packages I downloaded or didn't, it just crashed. Every.Single.Time. On Steam I have 10 hours of "gameplay" I didn't drive a single minute of it.

I tried to be positive with the game but I was not able to steer the car properly, the game is great, but it's also abandoned and that is unfair mate. Motorsport games should leave Studio 397 free
