Dude I've watched every video you've uploaded and you've saved me so much time and money, huge thanks! Scored a cart on market place for 50 bucks and I'm doing everything you've done minus the motor and I'm using two 24v kobalt drill batteries to make 48v so I can have a bunch charging and just swap em out. One thing I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone do yet is completely swap the seat out. I like the pad you did on yours

Someone told me you can get a tractor seat from somewhere that swaps. but I totally forgot about that. I would love to find a way to put some compression springs under it to soften the ride even more. That is awesome that you've got one for THAT cheap!!! hell yeah! I am so happy to have helped you man. Just be careful to keep an eye out for your motor temps. The lithium power delivery is on another level for sure. take a look into the flipsky 7070 on the google doc, I'm going to be doing that mod next

Dude I couldn't believe it either. And I caught it when it was just listed. By the time I went to go pick it up about an hour later the guy was like "man I got an awful crazy amount of messages about this thing" 😂 I almost felt bad but he only wanted 50. Definitely going to check out the flipsky 7070. Is it something to bring the temp on the motor down? And I'm definitely going to end up retrofitting a different seat just for fun/comfort.

I got a question for you. How big of battery would you use with this controller? Like what’s the max you would use to get the most out of it in terms of speed?
@TheCrazyCartModChannel
@TheCrazyCartModChannel 5 ай бұрын
@@m-a-d-mike it's a 48v controller, so I'd stick to 48v. I have no idea if it can handle 60v, but maybe. I wouldn't want to blow the stock motor though. In terms of amps (Ah) my setup is 20 right now. There's a calculator that turns that into watts (I thinks amps x volts = watts?) And the controller claims to handle 1000 watts. So theoretically I'm pushing out 960 ways already. They do make more capable controllers but I haven't looked into that, as my goal was as cheap as possible for the most fun. My next upgrade though I think will be a lithium phosphate battery, but that'll have to wait until I feel like the money is worth it. I'm just trying to help people understand that Taxi garage is not the only option.

Hey I have the normal crazy cart DLX and I bought 1 extra 12v battery and a 36V controller and charger (I bought the ones you recommended on your website). Hey, so I bought a cart with my dad and he followed all of these steps and helped me make my cart go 20 mph. It was working perfectly for about a week until one day we decided to take it to the park. we put it in my dad's truck bed and when we took it out, we set it on the pavement and turned it on. As soon as I turned it on, it started making this weird noise and it started slowly driving itself. When I got on it, I started moving, but it was accelerating very slowly and the max speed was probably like 15 mph. I kept riding and accidently crashed at like 10 mph. the cart didn't flip, all that happened was that I slid off to the side. when I got back on, it didn't move, so I had to walk it back to my dad's truck. I rode it again at home to see if it was really broken. I rode onto the street and it was accelerating slowly again. I just tried again today and it didn't move at all. I would like help or any recommendations that you would give me.

@@JokingEagle1328 check that the wires that hook up to the on-off switch are actually connected. They're very tiny and the connection might be bad where you splice them. It could have been intermittent and then totally separated but not visually once you had your accident. Also the controller could just be bad. If it started moving by itself though there may be something going on with the pedal, see if you can clean that out or blow it and make sure it's dry. I thought I responded to this man sorry. All you have to do is apply some critical thought to the situation. From what I read the other day, it will only work with the power button of the cart on. I did not know that when I made this video, so I guess you could wire it up to the stock charger port, but it will only charge in the on position. but I have not tried that.

@TheCrazyCartModChannel
@TheCrazyCartModChannel Ай бұрын
@@chazdoodle120 I don't quite understand what you're saying. I think port and switch are basically synonyms in this situation. The reality is there is the connection from the controller and there is the charging port that you would splice it into. . If the controller has to have the on switch activated to work, that means whatever is happening is taking place inside of the controller, not outside of it to get it to work. Adding a connection on the outside wouldn't do anything. At least that's the best way I can look at it. Either way you're free to try it if you want of course

@@TheCrazyCartModChannelyes, i’m saying could you splice the positive charge and the positive switch together to where it’s only on when either the switch is on, or its charging
@TheCrazyCartModChannel
@TheCrazyCartModChannel Ай бұрын
@@chazdoodle120 I want to be careful in case you're meaning something but using the wrong words. There is no positive/negative to the on/off switch. It's just a break in the line on one side of the current that is either opened or closed. You wouldn't be able to have what you're asking for because the switch would still either close or open the connection. If you're suggesting to hook up both the stitch and the positive/negative of the charging to the charger port, then only plugging something in would turn it on (because it's completing the circuit) The problem with that is, you would be be sending current into a part of the controller the is not meant to have two different polarities. If the controllers on off switch were also the charging wires, then you could do it. You could just insert a cut off end of a charging cable with the wires jumped together. It would essentially be like a key. And then to charge it you insert the real charging cable. But you can't do it the way you're suggesting because your trying to wire in parallel two different things, one with polarity, and one that just completes a circuit. That would probably just short out the wires once you plugged in a charger. Do you understand?
