One thing I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone do yet is completely swap the seat out. I like the pad you did on yours

@TheCrazyCartModChannel5 ай бұрын
@@m-a-d-mike it's a 48v controller, so I'd stick to 48v. I have no idea if it can handle 60v, but maybe. I wouldn't want to blow the stock motor though. In terms of amps (Ah) my setup is 20 right now. There's a calculator that turns that into watts (I thinks amps x volts = watts?) And the controller claims to handle 1000 watts. So theoretically I'm pushing out 960 ways already. They do make more capable controllers but I haven't looked into that, as my goal was as cheap as possible for the most fun. My next upgrade though I think will be a lithium phosphate battery, but that'll have to wait until I feel like the money is worth it. Hey, so I bought a cart with my dad and he followed all of these steps and helped me make my cart go 20 mph. It was working perfectly for about a week until one day we decided to take it to the park. we put it in my dad's truck bed and when we took it out, we set it on the pavement and turned it on. As soon as I turned it on, it started making this weird noise and it started slowly driving itself. When I got on it, I started moving, but it was accelerating very slowly and the max speed was probably like 15 mph. I kept riding and accidently crashed at like 10 mph. the cart didn't flip, all that happened was that I slid off to the side. when I got back on, it didn't move, so I had to walk it back to my dad's truck. I rode it again at home to see if it was really broken. I rode onto the street and it was accelerating slowly again. I just tried again today and it didn't move at all. I would like help or any recommendations that you would give me.

@@JokingEagle1328 check that the wires that hook up to the on-off switch are actually connected. They're very tiny and the connection might be bad where you splice them. It could have been intermittent and then totally separated but not visually once you had your accident. Also the controller could just be bad. If it started moving by itself though there may be something going on with the pedal, see if you can clean that out or blow it and make sure it's dry. From what I read the other day, it will only work with the power button of the cart on. I did not know that when I made this video, so I guess you could wire it up to the stock charger port, but it will only charge in the on position. but I have not tried that.

@@TheCrazyCartModChannelmaybe if there is a connection from the port to the switch?
@TheCrazyCartModChannelАй бұрын
@@chazdoodle120 I don't quite understand what you're saying. I think port and switch are basically synonyms in this situation. The reality is there is the connection from the controller and there is the charging port that you would splice it into. . If the controller has to have the on switch activated to work, that means whatever is happening is taking place inside of the controller, not outside of it to get it to work. Adding a connection on the outside wouldn't do anything. At least that's the best way I can look at it. Either way you're free to try it if you want of course
@chazdoodle120Ай бұрын
@@TheCrazyCartModChannelyes, i’m saying could you splice the positive charge and the positive switch together to where it’s only on when either the switch is on, or its charging
@TheCrazyCartModChannelАй бұрын
@@chazdoodle120 I want to be careful in case you're meaning something but using the wrong words. There is no positive/negative to the on/off switch. It's just a break in the line on one side of the current that is either opened or closed. You wouldn't be able to have what you're asking for because the switch would still either close or open the connection. If you're suggesting to hook up both the stitch and the positive/negative of the charging to the charger port, then only plugging something in would turn it on (because it's completing the circuit) The problem with that is, you would be be sending current into a part of the controller the is not meant to have two different polarities. If the controllers on off switch were also the charging wires, then you could do it. You could just insert a cut off end of a charging cable with the wires jumped together. It would essentially be like a key. And then to charge it you insert the real charging cable. But you can't do it the way you're suggesting because your trying to wire in parallel two different things, one with polarity, and one that just completes a circuit. That would probably just short out the wires once you plugged in a charger. Do you understand?
