Arghoslent and GBK are awesome. The riffs! The fucking RIFFS! Bands like House of Atreus and Svolder are good but they don't even come close to the genius of Gelal and co. Another band that might be of interest are Mi'gauss.

nitpicking: 6:18 I don't hear any "weird string bending harmonic type shit" but what is interesting is the riff construction and time signature changes in the riff, which they do a lot of. This one from Incorrigible Bigotry (title track) goes (1 2 3) (1 2 3) (1 2 3) (1 2 3) but then the second time it's (1 2 3) (1 2 3) (1 2 3) (1 2). You're also mishearing/confusing stacked thirds as "bar chords". 7:08 the harmonics here are the opposite of "dissonant", it's a harmonic series of the 3rd 4th and 5th overtones which correspond to D F# A (the root, major third and fifth). 10:19 another time you confuse non-bar chords as "bar chords" (power chord, stacked 6th (root + 6th), stacked thirds) 11:58 doesn't sound like string skipping 13:24 new album dude 2023. I've listened to Running Wild and Manilla Road and can see obvious similarities in the consonant riffs but one thing that both critiques and clone bands seem to miss is the sinister side of Arghoslent's sound. It's a mix of eastern scales, harmonic minor, and chromaticism that gives a very "suppressing rioters with a sword" quality to their music that I have rarely seen replicated.

This is the best description I’ve ever heard about Arghoslent, where the reviewer actually talks about their music and doesn’t focus on the lyrics or the controversy surrounding them. Aside from all the bands that were mentioned as influences, I definitely hear some Bound For Glory, Carnivore and Twisted Tower Dire parts in their songs, as well. They got it all and are very well rounded.

If Grenadier and House of Atreus were "diet coke" versions of Arghoslent, this latest album sounds like a diet version of Grenadier.
