Can I replace the Arduino Mega with the Arduino Uno?

I used to Arduino with RFID tag reader I hidden underneath the dashboard of a truck. The Arduino controlled relays that disabled the engines ECU. I used a GPS module with a SIM card module to text my cellphone if a truck door was open and the RFID tag was not scanned within 60 seconds. Or if the GPS location moved without scanning the tag.

This is a small piece of wire rod that is used to connect the lock to the servo motor.

I think you can replicate this in Arduino IDE, changing obviously the pin connections and maybe some libraries, in fact, I think all library used in the code is compatible with esp8266, so there shouldn't be a big problem. But I haven't tested what I said, it's only me looking at the code and having my first impression
