I use something like this for my grandson to watch his movies from my plex server. Works really well. Been using the canon ivy for the covers. Doesn't cover the nfc cards completely. Kinda interested in the printer set up you have here though.

Cool, yeah thats one of the use cases. Kids can use cards to watch their favorite shows. Canon printer worked pretty good for me and prints perfectly when given right dimensions

I had trouble getting the PN532 to work initially. Resolved this by ensuring the 2 DIP switches are correctly set for the I2C protocol - there is a small table at the bottom left of the PN532 (directly below where the 4 pins are located) showing the required position of the DIP switches. IO must be ON (pushed to the right) and I1 must be OFF (pushed to the left). My PN532 board had both DIP's in the OFF position which is the setting for the HSU protocol, which is why it did not work in the first instance. Hope this helps!

@@vijaysmarthome figured it out... Thanks. The power had to go to v3 for me. I also had a different board to had to use a slightly different esphome config.
