Federer was the player who thanscends boundaries of countries. He was the fans favourite in every tennis stadium against any player throughout his career. He is the Atp Fans favourite for continuous last 18 years. People came to watch Federer in every corner of the World. Because of the popularity of Federer that tennis became a world wide phenomena. Nadal and Djokovic became what they are because they were competitive against Federer. Because of increasing popularity prize money in tennis increased 4 times during Federer time period, thats historic. Numbers are a no barometer to judge the impact of Federer on the game. Present day records held by any player is going to get passed in near future (except Nadal at French open), so statistics are not the only barometer to judge the greatness of a player. He is and always will be the GOAT.

There is no tennis player I admire and love to watch as much as Roger Federer. Such a unique, talented and artistic game that is like a signature style. Yes, he floats over the court like a dancer, but at the same time there's power and creative genius there. I will miss seeing him play in any venue, but at least we have documentation of so many great matches he played. I feel blessed to have been able to see him play for so many years with such greatness on display. Whatever the debate about the Greatest of All Time, for me RF was the most enjoyable to watch and obviously a player of such incredible skill that he achieved so many triumphs along the way. I don't know if I can watch tennis matches with the same enthusiasm ever again. The long rally baseline game and the hardcore power game don't impress me that much or compel me to watch. Seeing Roger play at his height for so long spoiled me and left me feeling that he had a game so much more beautiful than anyone else that there's virtually no comparison.

@@Fed_Express They labelled Virat Kohli as a cricket superstar. He is a world cup winner as well. By that logic, damien martin is a 2 time world cup winner. For the uninitiated, it will seem he is more accomplished than sachin by this barometer. I love Roger as well. But don't undermine what Sachin has done for cricket. India is practically running cricket because of what he did in the 90s and 2000s. And statistically, Roger's peers have surpassed him in all major winning measures. Sachin remains untouched.
