RG RX-93 Nu Gundam DETAILING with LEDs!: Head and Chest Unit

This video is composed of a series of videos on how I finish my Nu Gundam. Now I'm painting the Head and Chest Unit of the Nu Gundam Part 2.9 of the Series. There's no planning phase of the painting process, I just paint where I think the Gunpla will look good. Also, I installed LEDs. It's a challenge for me because the LEDs are tiny but it all worth it, it is very cool to look at.
This is my first time ever painting, still learning about different kinds of paints, solvents, and tools for customizing a Gunpla.
I use the paintbrush and Gundam Markers only for this build, these are only the available materials and tools I can source during this time of quarantine. Hopefully, I could save up and buy an airbrush kit soon haha.

Thanks! I used Mettalic Gundam Markers and Tamiya Chrome Silver then used Tamiya Accent Line Color Black. Good Luck and have fun painting! :D

@@heavy5013 Yes, I used the thinnest wire available, 0.1mm in diameter, and also a small 0603 LED. If you watch my full build of the RG Nu, I put the battery below the Action Base.

@@Prestidigitalic I meant battery and everything in just the Gundam. So it can be messed with without being attached to the base or having wires hang out. Also, watch most of the video during break at work, so haven't finished it yet. Ran out of time.

@@heavy5013 you could do it. Using the smallest possible batteries like the Button Cells commonly used in wrist watches. I only know the output of these batteries are only 1.5V and some 3V. Using more LEDs, the light would be dimmer. Stacking the button cells would do the trick. I suggest a battery housing using Pla Plates. This could be an idea for my upcoming builds 😁

Yes you can put leds by the semi transparent red parts. Paint black beneath the armor so the lights will not leak

I just pressed the wires between the inner frame and the armor at the back as seen at 7:36 . Magnetic wires have enamel coating. It's okay if I bunched them up inside :)

You could but getting clay out of the plastic would be difficult. It could leave some bits of clay and can be hard to clean.

I used the GSI Creos Gundam Marker Metallic Set. You would try extracting the paint from the pens ang apply it with a brush 😁

Okay naman wala naman signs pag brittle ng plastic. Tamiya Acrylic naman gamit ko di lacquer/enamel paints na sabi sa forums maging brittle daw kapag lacquer or enamel daw gamit. Oo okay naman direct kapag details lang pero kung full paint talaga need mag primer para maayos ang pagdikit ng paint sa surface.
