I have the RG Unicorn and it’s variants. A beautiful and incredibly engineered mold for something so darn small. But I find that it has a fatal flaw: the mold’s shoulders. More specifically, the advanced MS used for the shoulders and how it’s built. Because of how it’s molded, it provides too much friction. Add the fact that it sits on a very thin and flimsy butterfly joint, and you have a high risk of breaking the model regardless if you are careful. It’s honestly a shame because they’re such a great kit overall. I still recommend this to everyone as it provides a challenging and enjoyable experience, even those that are fans of the Unicorn in general.

when i think about the shoulder and also the concept of real grade about what gundam look like in real world. i can get that because only rx0 series that only can handle the recoil of beam magnum. so the shoulder are made to be tight to show how it would feel as a real thing. or maybe i'm wrong 😂

I ordered one yesterday. Should be building it inside of a week. Can't wait. I was never a big fan of Unicorn Gundams but I got an RG Banshee recently and man it's such a superb model, I'm hooked. Might go for the P-Bandai variants as well.

The armor plate of the inner thighs are loose and easily fall off especially since that's where I hold the model when posing it. I glued that down for convenience since they don't move as part of the transformation. Good thing the outer thighs are fine, especially since they do move to extend the legs.

from what I’ve seen, some RGs tend to be bigger than the scale they’re supposed to be on, even if it’s by a slight margin. The transformation likely also has a part in this, but it’s not completely unheard of in the RG line
