Dear Chris, serendipity had me find this (I am a member of The Trevithick Society!). Just spotted my self gorming at The Puffing Devil. It was a grim day’s weather but thoroughly enjoyable. Mind, come near midnight, the mice & spiders were begging for our ear-defenders, when the hotel Queen tribute band encored with Bohemian Rhapsody! Great work. It was my first venture out after successful (so far) major surgery following bowel-cancer. And yes oldies, do the ‘poo-stick’ testing. A tad inconvenient but potentially a life-saver. I certainly wouldn’t be writing this if I hadn’t...Very best, John. Birmingham.

It was rather grim that day. We deliberately booked a holiday just to see this event. Glad to know you are ok after the op. I am expecting the results of my test anytime now.
