This is a 1966 Restomod Mustang GT350 and it is one of the craziest cars I have ever driven.

Been watching your videos since you got the Y, this would have to be my favourite so far. I'm waiting for the Model Y to become available in Australia so I can get one and enjoy it's features, but I'll also enjoy my 65 convertible mustang that I've owned for 22yrs every now and then.

Your friend's comment about this project being intentionally about being more connected with the car is spot on. If driving were only about speed and the quarter-mile time, only a rocket-powered funny car would do. Just as no one would want to commute or road trip in this GT350 restomod, no electric car will ever deliver the fun driving experience that a stick-shift hooked up to a V8 with a dual exhaust is going to offer... and that's OK. This car delivers on that purpose, and your Model Y undoubtedly delivers on its purpose. This is the fundamental disconnect when people fall off their barstool complaining that a Mustang Mach-E isn't a real Mustang.

Ok I will try not to sound too cult like. But it must have felt good to get back in an air conditioned quiet car that goes just as fast. That brutal sound and I and sure smells may be fun for a few minutes but it’s not a hood to be more than getting to and from the car show.
