welcome sir :) i haven't personally used 1+5t but have held it for a brief amount of time and with the feedback i got from my friend(who used the device) it has excellent build quality, superb performance and great camera for the price, so if price is not an issue, it w'd be a great upgrade, but sir one thing to mention even entry level devices are getting pretty lucrative these days, probably in couple of weeks redmi note 5 could be launched, following that moto g6 plus shd be launched which are rumored to come with 18:9 display and better cameras, so if possible wait for some time, have a look at these devices and then make decision.

hi bro, its pretty simple, you can go to settings/ security and privacy/ fingerprint ID/ here you can enable all the features like show notification panel, browse photos etc and under security and privacy itself you can access file safe and app lock.

hi bro, not sure what off screen gesture are you mentioning, but fm radio is supported and as far as i have noticed there isn't any face unlock feature as of now, might be they'll include it later through an update.
