I was thinking before you mentioned it. That the problem was in the turnout. "Turnout" that I was 1/3 correct. Looks like you are on the right track now. Love your scenery. With your artistic skills, we can see why you do the scenics on the layout. Bill and Janet from California

sometimes i have to squeeze the joiner (fishplate) together with a pair of needle-nose pliers to ensure electrical continuity. Outstanding scenery work by Grace!

Now that’s not a bad idea mate, might have to order a pair (gonna go set a reminder now)

Ups and downs, but like the stock market, it always is up in the long game! Glad you sorted the switch issue out and wonderful work on the scenery! Wonderful as

Thanks mate, maybe be a bit more careful in setting the stuff down 🤣

Hill is taking shape nicely but there is something still missing and i cannot put my finger on it so hopefully you will be adding more to the hill.
@RGJTrainsАй бұрын
Yes we totally agree with you Andrew, Grace even mentioned it on the live last night, but she’s is just concentrating on one area for the @wws completion at the moment, but no you are right buddy

Ever thought of stamp collecting instead? 😂 Nice bit of bush styling though Grace.

might be easier 🤣🤣

Make sure you have it all running sweet before you ballast otherwise its a pain to remedy faults.
@RGJTrainsАй бұрын
oh ballast is going NOWHERE near the track for quite a while
@dr1953Ай бұрын
A right hand switch would probably ease the curve a bit in that area.
@RGJTrainsАй бұрын
it’s a LOT shallower than what it was, once i have the track cleaned again i’ll run the apt see how she goes
@SantaFeBobАй бұрын
Another fun video. Scenery is looking amazing! On the turnout issue, are you using PECO Insulfrog turnouts?
@RGJTrainsАй бұрын
no!!! but that’s precisely what it’s getting replaced with, this hornby one seems a bit trash to be honest

I've found, through hard experience, that putting pieces of set track into a streamline layout is not a good idea. Also, put droppers everywhere. My dad used to put a dropper to every piece of track and I always wondered why, but his layout ran wonderfully. He worried about isolating later, one can always take a Dremmel to the track. A dropper before every turnout is good.
@RGJTrainsАй бұрын
yes, plenty of droppers need to go in Chris, i should have thought about this a long time ago, it would have helped my issues
@davidhinks8384Ай бұрын
Hi Rob, I had a dodgy point from Hornby which cut the loco out if it was opened. Could you have a dodgy point? Can you run the dropper in a trackside trunk to a thinner place? Bless you both D
@RGJTrainsАй бұрын
Hi David, it was the point, and Rob being dodgy in his track laying too 🤣

After wiring up my led lights on my buffer stops and built the plat forms around them they stopped working just about to a major removal of the platform and checking the leds and wring found the feed Lead in the terminal block was loose and only making intermittent contact. Such things are those little things sent to try us.

Hi have you got current on the track prior to the curve
@RGJTrainsАй бұрын
Yes buddy, the issue lay in fishplates and fitter errors
