I always imagined the GM III would make a good close combat suit, since it normally lugs around a pair of shoulder rocket pods and hip mounted missiles, taking those off would make it quite nimble.

Yeah the gm lll when it was first shown it didn’t have any pods on it. It’s kinda the base kit it has and tbh with the backpack it uses the gm lll is an excellent machine.

@@TheKusa5 I love all gm’s and grunts for the most part. I just love the no names and I get tired of gundams always saving the day, And then the other faction wipes all these grunts out with ease.

@@Dr.pp4256 damn straight Only feel like mangas are the only things that let protags pilot GMs and also let them shine, We're federation Hooligans is a pretty good series, the main protag pilots a GM Striker in it

GM III was kind of the latest GM unit built at the time so they aren't exactly that outdated. Also the only reason why the Neo-Zeon remnants were able to this far is because of the Zaku I Sniper Custom and the Shamblo. Zaku I Sniper Custom provide air/sniper support while the Shamblo just perform mass destruction plus acting as a huge target with an I-Field.

Pretty much due to zeon remnant were bunch of veterans while feds especially in torrington base were newbie and unskilled pilot.

It only ever existed to aid in the infiltration of Jaburo, which it ended up not participating in because Char lmao. I guess its great showing here makes up for that.
