The British rock and roll scene seduced me through gems like this one. Baptised on Elvis, confirmed on BSA's the late 1970s yeah those were great days!

I recently told Sandy about this band they had never heard of them despite being about 40 years of age and when they listened they said they were fantastic👍They are like a well-kept secret

Wow I bought this when it came out and then bumped into Steve Gibbons and Trevor Burton in Worcester high street and they were great to a young fan like me at the time..Steve Gibbons even invited my band to support his at a gig but our singer chickened out coz he didnt think he could compete with this band on stage..and he was right really..though I'd love to have done the gig just to look back on and say we did it..what a great band they were!

I owned this single back in the day - loved it. B side was something about not leaving your balls down in the bunker, but golf was definitely only incidental to the song!

They used to play the Odeon every Christmas. ‘Any road up’ was our cue to charge the stage. Good times.

The only problem with this song was not that it ended (as it inevitably had to) but who it ended with. :-(

This guy and band had been kicking around for a long time, had this flash in the pan and disappeared. A really great act and this was probably the highest charting song, but a well of talent lost to history. Ahead of the rockabilly curve.

NO! Tulane was their highest charting song.
