Offlane has become so much more interesting over the last few patches, people don't realise how insanely impactful a good offlane is to a win

GenerationHollow I had a game where I split push two inhibitors lol they sent 5 to contest orb I took tier two and inhibitor lol
@lilboy76427 жыл бұрын
GenerationHollow facts. I played with a group who had a solid offlane, to the point that we didn't lose Tower 1 until 20 min. into the match
@minecraftace1237 жыл бұрын
I'm still a noob, but I managed to solo push offlane to the inhibitor with only 2 separate base retreats with a Gideon. I'd definitely say its an amazing task to just be able to open up a new front so easily and get some witty match wins in.

lmao but seriously tho. stopped playing for about a month and found offlaning harder with most heroes. Greystone was still stupid easy tho xD

So losing your tower in less than 10 min is bad (for 1) as it leaves your lane open all the way back to all 3 jungle entrances closest to your base, and it allows the enemy carry and support (or sometimes double carry -- very aggressive) to smash through other lanes or perhaps protect their offlane, providing a front against any pushes on their left should it come down to ditching a lane in order to capture a prime objective. For 2, Morigesh has a kit almost completely designed to stifle off-lanes aggressive pushes, and when it comes to slow/split push pressure she is queen (quick/split would be Countess or Yin); simply throw a hive, kill the range minions, then run to engage unaware enemies with quick burst damage meanwhile your hive eats the minions up and sometimes garners last hit cp halfway across the map while slowly building a large wave for whichever lane you pushed. And for 3, steel is a terrible pusher all around unless you build him for damage which makes you the first target in any engagement as you will be VERY squishy; one go of phases slow and you're dead against a burst team with a decent carry and tank regardless if you get rooted or not. Now I'm not saying your wrong, as we all don't take on the same people all the time or share all the same experiences, and teams are all over the place with composition nowadays, but with the well over a year of play and 1400+ games and continuous research of all characters and playstyles these have been my experiences, and seem to be much more consistent in every game I come into with actual decent players (well into the golds and platinum ranges).
@RGSACE937 жыл бұрын
I disagree with most of your points but the main one, if you think losing your tower in less than 10mins is a bad thing you really have no idea how to offlane. Epic DESIGNED for the tower to fall at the 5-5:30min mark, they never expect you to have that tower up for more than 10mins...so let it fall. The rest of the points I covered in the video.
@man1ck3aton877 жыл бұрын
They designed it to be a bit more of a struggle to kill within the first 5 minutes so it wouldn't be destroyed by a single push; after that point it is key for your jungler to rotate and assist with ganks and defense, and just because an item is designed to have a chance of falling quicker, doesn't mean you should just give up on it. Regardless if the developers expect it to fall or not it isn't up to anyone else but the players in the game as to whether or not it drops in 5 to 10 or 15+ minutes. From my experiences (as extensive as they are) what I've stated seems to be more consistent -- in the way that if it falls too quickly (i.e., 5 min or less), then it is almost a guaranteed gank and pressure game on the other lanes from their safe duo while off struggles to push the minions just far enough to garner their attention again while simultaneously risking deaths from the duo possibly rotating with a smart jungler to help them clean up or lock down offlane -- their safelane. As for any other points you covered in the video --that statement --, as well as I "have no idea how to offlane" are just logical fallacies and hold no merit. I flat out said I'm not saying you're incorrect, yet you immediately say I'm incapable; I was hoping for a discussion of your reasoning, but if you're just going to act like every other egotistical jerk on here who thinks they are infallibly correct and their "opinions" are fact, then go right on ahead deluding yourself into such notions.

RGSACE, I'm not trying to insult you or anything, but almost EVERYONE you play against in offlane is so chill! They just LET YOU FARM! Almost every single time I play in offlane, the MOMENT I go to farm, the safe lane duo just straight up spams all of their abilities on me and then they chase me to my tower!

when split pushing make sure you kill ranged first it will keep more of your minions intact so you can build a big wave and let it push for you

Question. As an offlaner what do you do when the enemy carry and support are being HYPER aggressive from the start?
@psychokrypt14917 жыл бұрын
i have the same question, what i do is wait under my tower wait for them to push in, damage the carry and ask the jungler to come gank or ask the midlane hero to come scare them, or just poke them, so that they know if they overextend they will be punished..it doesn't always work however, so i usually get 2 healer tokens the ones with 2.8 regen to help me sustain in lane..
@FreshToast60007 жыл бұрын
Good response. I will say I do something like this but they will not quit until I either die or back. Sure they miss out on a few minions but I'm forced to back losing my XP advantage a bit. Also somewhat of another question, so when their minions (say like a whole wave) reach my tower, do I just stick my distance and let tower fall if need be?
@davidalejandrocardonanaran62167 жыл бұрын
usually ask for your teammates to rotate and gank on right otherwise hit one minion, then they'll agro you, so go behind the tier 1 and kill them there, and safe
@RGSACE937 жыл бұрын
If they are being Hyper aggressive, you can out farm them easily. The wave will be under your tower and you just need to land last hits under the tower. 9/10 times when this happens and it only happens when I smurf I out farm the carry, at the same time my carry is getting farm because he froze the lane.
@FreshToast60007 жыл бұрын
thanks for the response, I see how I can get in front but do you say screw the tower or do you try to keep it up as long as possible? Even under the tower they'll try super hard to poke you.

Nothing like a refresher of the basics to help you learn something new. Especially for my favorite role. Also, that Shinbi build, is it something you use only with your comp team or something you have for solo-queue as well? I feel like half the builds I see people post are attempts to troll people trying to learn new heroes.

Wow that is a shinbi doing work! She's one of the heroes who makes my heart sink whenever she's picked in solo queue as she can be so ineffective - same deal with Iggy and Kallari. In the right hands of course they can do work, but I rarely come across people with those hands... (and certainly don't have them myself!)
@Apoli6R7 жыл бұрын
I play offlane since the beginning and think you've pretty much summarized it perfectly in this clip but the one thing I don't agree with you is doing the camp near the offlane is actually better than getting 18 or 36 xp for a couple of minions your first wave might kill, as you get 40 xp from those two at the camp + 170 cp + 35 cp per jungle minion in the amber link at the 2 minute mark.

Dantiel Barbosa Well yes, but her ranged attacks, hive, and a healer token allows her to stay healthy while doing damage
@vueyang57457 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you Dan. One of the offlaner's job is to deny the enemy carry's farm and a good Morigesh can definitely do that at the beginning. Sure Morigesh can't push that good compare to other carry but she fulfills one of the offlaners task and that's good enough tbh.

Do you think Serath can be a valuable Offlaner in high platnium play or even higher? Since the jungle rework, I feel as though she doesn't belong there anymore. Safe lane is always the best option for her but I was wondering if offlane is also a viable option.

Have any tips for when the enemy carry/support are relentless and continue to push for tier 2 and selfish team mates don't care because it's not their problem? Also, sometimes the support keeps chasing you far enough away so you cannot gain a single xp at a distance and you become under leveled? I'm totally serious about this. It happens sometimes and I'd like to hear some feed back. Thanks in advance.
@charlieroebuck42407 жыл бұрын
As an offlaner main, I saw two points I wouldn't do, but all in all, there are because of our difference in playstyles. But yes, Aurora and Steel should join to team fights fast. (After hard-pushing they're lane a tad bit and accumulating two waves of your minions.) anybody else should consider if it is better if it is better to split push or just teamfighting. Except Kallari, split push real hard as Kallari, please. ...Or just don't play her at all. :v

I'm definitely a beginner to these type of games. I've watched some of your other videos and found them helpful, but this one not so much. You use a lot of terms that I didn't understand; split pushing and freezing just to name a couple. I think you need to take it a step back even more for it to be a true beginners guide.

I hate the meta of letting your off lane tower fall in the first minutes, I always keep it for at least ten minutes and it helps the team a lot because their carry gets stuck in lane while your carry can rotate which makes the game a 4v3 for a while.

RGSACE would be interested in a scrimmage. My team unfortunately couldn't make the exhibition qualifiers due to work and I feel as though they missed out on a valuable learning experience. they are often too aggressive and while they do group up and support we have yet to face a team that can properly punish them for their over aggression. I have been trying to tell them this but they haven't been listening and I feel a match with a team that outclasses us would benefit us. if you can please message me on my discord SirJ-Saw7565
