I loved MLF on the genesis , it was one of the reasons I was jealous of my friends who had Genesis back in the day . This game looks like a heck of an upgrade to the original , I might have to check this out , great video man !

I have it on the PC and still have my Sega Genesis version as well and can say with certainty that it's a worthy follow-up to the original. Easy to pick-up and play, very high production value, very well made. I hope people support it since it's an awesome game.

I picked up the game and it took me back to the fun of the original! Cant lie, I was sick at the original! But the issue I have had with these games is that had never been a direct conversion type style from Madden to what we love in Mutant League i.e. 11-on-11, a franchise mode, drafting players (it can b done since Madden showed us its possible), and just an all around more in depth game. I like the funny and quirky elements, the violence (like football should b anyway), and the original things like the halftime performance and what not but the game could b so much more if given the thought and time put in. Scale of 1-10 I rate it a 7 cuz it still has the fun factor which is a big selling point for me! Love the vid too bruh, keep doing u!

Great review! Im really loving this game mutant footbal league. Hopefully they add some features down the road. Maybe create your player, and be able to be drafted. Keeping track of your lifetime stats. Stuff like that.

I used to love Mutant Football League for the Sega Genesis back in the '90s even though I was never a football fan and I was glad when I saw this new game on Kickstarter. I knew it was released on Steam, though I had no idea it was already on consoles until I saw your Switch review. It sounds really cool and I hope to get it hopefully sometime soon!

They have added dlc teams you can download for pretty cheap. Plus an added dynasty mode which is pretty fun. They also update the game to keep up with the current nfl season!

I want Mutant League Hockey! That game was a ton of fun and completely over the top silly. With the giant slug Zamboni and cast of players and coaches. I think it was based off the EA NHL games from the 94/95/96 era???

Hey RGT85. Great review and I have to agree with your take on the online service. Defiantly needs work. Now i always been a fan of the Mutant League series well the two games that dropped on the genesis back in 94 and 95. First saw Mutant League Football in a GamePro article back in 93. I was very excited about this game just because how over the top it was. Michael Mendheim the creator of the Mutant League games decided to see how much interest bringing back Mutant Football to current gen. And I was part of the kickstarter and was happy to help him out since this franchise meant so much to me. Well after 4 years or so we have the successor Mutant Football League and thank you Michael for getting this completed. I love the new game I have it on Xbox one and played the early preview now the full version. Oh good news this game will have a Dynasty mode and also add more teams and fields, also more mutant types. I kind of had this idea for a live sports entertainment show based off Mutant League, where it would basically be Pro Wrestling if you replace the wrestling with Football, Basketball, Soccer, & Hockey, and the players were guys in mutant costumes, but their like thin mutant costumes so they'd be realistic but still comfortable for athletes to play in, it'd have tons of violence and fake gore [with tons slams, tackles, and professional wrestling-esc moves done to each other (as well as some green fake blood for the gore) to give it the special edge Mutant League is known for], it'll have all kinds of storylines and plots, as well as different types of competitions and one-off games to spice it up, including: >the Eliminator Challenge: where (like in the "Mutant League the movie" cartoon) it'll have 2 teams (after each winning a 3 way round robin-esc preliminaries, where each of the 3 teams plays each other in turn in quick one round 10 minute games of a random sport, where 3 points for every win, 1 point for every tie for both teams in that match, and no points for every loss) play in a series of sports and play best 3 out of 5 (with each game being on a different episode) for a chance to earn the title as Team Eliminator until another Eliminator Challenge is held and they have to defend their title on a single match against the winner of that eliminator challenge >the Battle Belt: where one random team starts out with the belt and if that team can win 5 straight games against any team who wants to fight for it, they get to keep it (and when the belt is won, another belt will be up for grabs when it's selected to another random team and it keeps going on and on just like that) and if that team loses or refuses to accept a team's game for it then they have to give up the belt to that team and that team will have to win 5 more games to keep it and it'll going on and on just like that >the Double-Team Trouble-Team Tournament: where it's a basic 8 team tournament, only each team is consisted of the players two teams from the regular games (selected in random), so you basically have 2 teams who may or may not get along playing on the same teams, it can open up all kinds of storylines for the show >the Grudge Matches: where teams or players who have grudges against each other basically fight it out in a quick game (it's basically based on storylines) >& the All-Star Tournament: where all the teams play in a special league tournament to determine who will win the Mutant Cup and every episode features 5 or 7 quick games, usually a mix of the various competitions and one-off games which will be running throughout the series, with some episodes having major games two halves to it with two quick games playing between halve do you think that would be good?

Also, Green Bay gets the Orcs Bay Hazzards. When they say orcs, are they talking about the usual demented elf kind, or the less popular pig like creatures? Because having them be pig Like monsters whould actually make a lot of sense, since the Green Bay Packers are a reference to Meat Packers, so having the monsters be a reference to it meat would make a lot of sense.
