Swapna I don't know if you read these comments or not...let me tell u in short what empowerment is.....Empowerment of women doesn't only mean smoking or drinking or wearing short clothes...empowerment means doing whatever they like (which might include things I mentioned earlier) as long as they are within law of land...you don't judge them or treat them like they are doing wrong for what their choice is....If smoking and drinking are wrong then both men and women shouldn't do it, why it is right for men to do it and not for women??

i agree our society is not perfect and biased. many points in social structure have come after lot of trail and error and stood test of time. Things which are not relevant in present age are slowly becoming absolute. i don't think with out paying high price, all of sudden can pick up new social structure. Change has to be gradual and meaningful.
