One point RGV missed is the amount of contribution to science and industrial revolution in the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th century that Britain and its research contributed to the world, helping it spread the influence of its language and culture across the world. The movement of British expats for religious freedom to America and the success of America as a country since the 18th century is also a huge contributing factor in buttressing English as a dominant language for trade worldwide. Name one university or scientist from Telugu states sponsored by money from Telugu people that made important discoveries that changed the world in the last 5 centuries? Name a Telugu idea that has changed the world in the last 5 centuries?

Yeah that's why he says English is great bcos English ruled us in reality whereas french, Dutch couldn't do it to that extent. They might have done it if they had more resources, but they didn't do it and English did it. At the end of the day what matters is who actually did it.

@@drasticgamerstv1025 English spread because of British Imperialism. If British did not invade India probably Urdu would have been the most dominating language in India. Urdu also has beauty.
@Casperp123452 жыл бұрын
@@drasticgamerstv1025 What a base less analogy. I might speak in English for my work, I might use it to earn money etc. But that doesn't mean it is great. If I wants to compare it with movies, English is like a commercial movie, but it won't have one particular soul in it. It has mix of all. But, we have a special geners with special capabilities. And, English has a lot of disadvantages silent words, some illogical rules without etc. First of all we need to understand the linguistics go get the better view. After my research I say Sanskrit is in the top. For simplicity, English is a simple standard boat(Every one can buy it, You can't decommission it to any more boats), Sanskrit is like a Titanic (It can make 100s of small boats). All major languages came from Sanskrit. And even latin the base of English came from Sanskrit.
@tejaa072 жыл бұрын
@@reddyda Well, it's been 75 years since we have been an independent country and we are still routing for English more than local languages because we found something great about it and obviously something more special in it than our languages. It's good to acknowledge. We are living in the same world.
@tejaa072 жыл бұрын
@@Casperp12345 I guess the answer lies in your comment itself, "everyone can buy it (English)". That's the most important thing for global communication. That's what connects every human in the world. That's why we developed something called "language", to easily communicate, right ? It's serving great basic purpose.
