I really wish valve would just add custom maps (designed by the community) to the official map pools. That way everyone would have them downloaded automatically and they could be readily available. Would do so much for the longevity of the community.

Most of these maps needed fix some jesus spots, bugs, shortcuts and etc. And, ofc, balanced for versus mode. It's too difficult for Valve.

They haven't done that for a reason, and that is the fact that MOST - and I really mean MOST, like 95% of them- are actual dogshit. Most of them have pathing issues, balance issues between the survivors and special infected, some maps are too long, etc etc etc. Basically, most custom campaigns are very badly designed, and anyone who has played custom campaigns will agree.

Maybe some of the good maps could. But there are plenty of bad maps, also some maps like the fnaf maps just wouldn't really work as an official map.

I think that the L4D1 campaigns except The Sacdifice should have the Charger, Jockey, and Spitter removed. 'Cause with the story, the original survivors don't encounter the new specials until The Sacrifice.
