Loving this podcast! The twists like teams, roadkill, battle of the block keep the game interesting. If everything stayed the same we'd complain about that. Trying new things over a season or two is a good way to add new life to an old favorite. I'm happy BB knows when to toss out duds like battle of the block.

I so agree with the whole discussion on comps. Having more of them means they're devaluing the power they can win at the HoH comp, and thus it only just means more people are likely to throw comps because you are no longer granted what was offered to an HoH (and what was a well balanced game mechanic - the reason why the HoH mechanic is so awesome is that you can't compete the week after; it forces people to make deals they will either keep or not keep afterwards, which adds to the drama and the true meat of BB. Making it now so that being HoH grants a lot less power than it used to makes it entirely not worthwhile to win for most players). Similarly, I think cutting the 'who wants to see my Hoh?' stuff works against it as well - yes it's cheesy and kitschy as heck (so it's subjective as to whether you like it or not, but what it provided for guaranteed screen time (if you win an HoH, people will see you on primetime, which again is always an incentive for players who want screentime to play to win HoH and not throw them), as well as nudging susceptible players to get HOHitis, which is always fun to watch and usually helps in changing the house sentiment as to who they want out next. And yeah, obviously with doing group HoH comps now, makes for even more throws. It just makes me sad that people who run the show don't understand what parts of the show are the actual parts that are memorable.

What can Victor do to stay? Day told him outright that she wants Tiffany out. He could pass this on.... Tiffany is just paranoid and volitile enough to lose her cool and create a shit storm, and Day is just paranoid enough to flip.. Here's how I would go about it. I would say look I'm 99% sure i'm going home this week. I tried campaigning and unfortunately I kinda had to give people reasons why it would be better to keep me over you...but at the moment i don't really think it worked out, they all kinda told me that they would vote with the majority, and I guess the majority want me out..so yeah it looks like I'm toast...but here's the thing...just an FYI When i talked with Day she told me that she wants to get you out before jury, but now isn't the right time. Just so you know....

I think James is a bit more savvy than you give him credit for. James is doing exactly what he should be doing right now. Reltaionship building.There is absolutely zero need to startegize pre jury. Make sure you are on the right side of the numbers and don't burn your bridges with the minority Fin. that's all that's required. Day and Frank on the other hand are planning boot orders all the way to final two and telling almost everyone...that's ridiculous. Eventually that information is going to be used against you. Play the game week to week, keep your mouth shut, and chill. James proved to us last year that his game is not all passive. If someone puts a gun to his head he has no compunction about coming after you. so IMHO He's doing great so far.
