I like the sound, the resistance, of a crystal mouthpiece. Why doesn't Vandoren use that material?
@IsaacW.4 жыл бұрын
Because not everybody likes that material and there are already other companies that make them.

Hey hello there Jose Franch-Ballester. Who made/fitted your left hand flat key? I would like to add one to each of my Peter Eaton clarinets and I'm not sure who to go to. many thanks indeed! Ps - awesome playing! Nicki

He probably purchased the clarinet new and it was manufactured with the left hand Eb

This piece reminds me in some kind on different other componists, for example osborne really strong
@phillipshearman55974 жыл бұрын
I wonder? Does he really sound like he is always playing behind a curtain? or is the clarinet too dull or is the audio that bad? I think we could appreciate his hard work more if it was respected by Backun and/or the audio man.
@silva777 Жыл бұрын
I play clarinet. The instrument in this video has a good sound in the upper register but doesn’t sound as good in the lower register. The tone is ‘tubby’ below C. A solid ebony wood clarinet, despite it’s difficulties, has a better tone than this composite one. I also think there’s too much vibrato added to this recording. But this man’s playing is impressive, no question. Thank you.

What is that mouthpiece ligature setup your using?
@abs89878 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% certain, but I believe he is using a CG or CG Plus crystal mouthpiece (available on the Backun website), and a Silverstein ligature.
@gameaddiction77318 жыл бұрын

I think that music was made in another place not in that room. The acoustics are too good for a normal house.
@Musix4me-Clarinet7 жыл бұрын
The reverb was added after recording in the room. I'm sure he removed noise and then added reverb.
@phillipshearman55976 жыл бұрын
Hey, fake reverb is getting better all the time. We all would be better off if he rented a good hall but then we are not paying for this are we? He did a fine job both musically and technically. No doubt about that.
@BrendenJohnFilms5 жыл бұрын
I often add reverb, however I always under state the amount I apply and I apply up to three layers for a sort of reverb dynamic; my results end up giving me important jobs for world renound musicians... and the ironic thing is... I was born with an 80% hearing loss in both ears... so I do my entire process in a scientific approach (measurement tape, placement of mics, type of mics and pattern, vector scopes, etc). For me, regarding this recording... there is nothing about where he's at that would have me wondering about the reverb, just my thought...
@clarinetchamber71584 жыл бұрын
@@BrendenJohnFilms that's interesting! Wich sound "edeting" program do you use? Is there a good, free Programm for beginners?
