Rhapsody in Steel - 1933

Made in 1933, this animation depicts the story of a Ford worker who goes home from work one car short of the production target and dreams that the outstanding one is built by a fairy. The car is a 1933 V8. The film shows the factory production line, plus an exceptionally detailed, comprehensive look at the V8 construction in all its stages.

I love the bit where the Fairy throws a chunk of metal at the window and it breaks....just like the Cybertruck.

With much of the work on today's assembly lines performed by robots this film is sort of a harbinger of things to come. Still the human element is not completely eliminated and is yet an essential part of auto production.

Great video. I believe the film was made in late 1933 because he car is a new 1934 model. 1933 Fords have a slightly swooped grill and side hood lovers and on the 1934 both are straight.
