Here in the states, the minimal lifestyle is slowly growing. So many people are choosing this lifestyle because it helps people focus on what is important: family and friends, rather than material possessions. I'm myself an looking into downsizing into a tiny home.

I love watching your videos because I can relax and they make me sleepy. That's not an easy thing for me because of my anxiety so please don't take offense that I use your videos sometimes to fall asleep. I'm South Asian, minimalism like this would never work for us 😂 Since you're born till the day you day, people keep giving gold and other heavy jewelry as gifts for special occasions. Also, when/if I get married, my mom will pass on her jewelry that's been given to her by her mother. Basically old heirloom from hundreds of years of ancestry. I try to stay minimalistic in my everyday jewelry and recently gave away the ones I didn't like or use. Except for the expensive pieces like the necklaces, heavy gold chokers, bangles, tikka (headpiece) etc. It's one thing I really love about our culture. That I can own a gold headpiece that one of my ancestors wore during her wedding in 1856 or something.

🔹For me, minimalism is not about getting rid of everything and emptying a person's life. But rather the beginning of filling a person 's life with what is truly important. It's about focusing on the things that brings you hope, more happiness and joy. 🔹For me, minimalism is living less while still enjoying the things that produce happiness and meaning in your life. 🔹Cherish the items that only brings joy and let go of the rest with gratitude. 🔹Separate your attachment to your possessions and embrace the concept of enough. What a lesson! You impressed me a lot in my first ever visit to your channel. You looks like a person that can gave millions of beautiful life lessons. People around you must be blessed with your presence. Thanks for these beautiful messages. It fills my heart with purity and love. I really like your channel. ♥️😇 Lots of love from Pakistan 🇵🇰

Minimalism is so hard for me because of sentimental value i attach to things like jewelry Update a month later: I didn’t know this many people would care about my comment, thanks. Also I’m starting to feel differently while I’m not getting rid of the things I love and use, I have gotten rid of things I have only worn like once or that kind of thing. And for Xmas I recieved a jewelry box just like Rhea’s completely by happenstance! I wasn’t seeking it out lol but it just happened that way. But it’s not quite as cute there’s no bike on it but it is pink and has that flower shaped pull tab on the mirror

@@dannyyismanoe2020 Yes , I agree. There was a time where I was inspired by the Marie Kondo method and everyone else doing it , and I ended up getting rid of things I deeply miss to this day. I dislike clutter very much but you never have to get rid of things you actually like to follow a specific lifestyle. Living clutter free isnt automatically equivalent to owning nothing. Just make sure you aren't living in excess if you feel like its a problem. And deeply cherish the things you do love.

Minimalism is not just about letting go of stuff. Essentially, it teaches us to let go and to loosen our grip on everything in our life (both material and emotional). It allows us to free ourselves from everything that is holding us down and that is stopping us from living the life that we're truly meant to live.
@shaymh52055 жыл бұрын
I love your philosophy Rhea. I remember as a child about 10 or 12 I had an anxiety from too much clutter and I threw all of my things out. It bothered me a little but then I went riding on my bike and felt so free and good. I am still this way and regularly go through my things to free myself of too much anxiety over clutter. Thank you and you are now my favorite on you tube. xxoo🌈🌞💛

I love jewelry and this video introduced me to Ana Lucia. The designs you wore are so delicate, feminine and classy. It's also very sustainable I see. Watching your videos always make me value the things more. There's a necklace I always wear and never take off. From my grandmother who died right beforehand. I think she knew she was going to die and that's why she passed the piece down. I always always wear a ruby ring that I got for my birthday. I lost the first ones and my mother bought me a new one. I also have a Michael Kors crystal watch. I have no special earrings, but watching this made me want to get things that are valuable to me emotionally.

Why should it? It's an accessory. I don't have any emotional attachment to my jewelry, not even my wedding ring. I'm sentimental about photos and my master's thesis, and that's pretty much all regarding inanimate objects. Jewelry serves a purpose, sometimes several purposes, but I don't imbue it with romanticism, any more than my couch or my light fixture.
