I’ve been married for 14 years (we’ve been actually together for 16 years). I love spending time with husband but you’re right. Sometimes it’s nice to just have some time alone. Checking in with yourself is important. You can’t be good to others if you aren’t good to yourself. ❤️

@Simply Halal Yes. And I know my husband needs “down-time” as well. He works really hard at a demanding job. So when he goes to into our garage (where we have some gym equipment) and works out or just sits and relaxes with a book I don’t bother him. It’s important to have quiet time.

You are so right about solitude! I have been healing so much during the pandemic, since I had to isolate, being 72 and asthmatic. But...I loved having the time to myself and felt guilty about loving it so much sometimes.
