You guys need to come back now that COVID is waining. I’m sure this will sound crazy to people not from here, but your circa-March 2022 footage shows a NYC that feels, to a native like me, barren. There are only a third as many people out-and-about as there should be. Mind, it looks a lot better than the veritable ghost town of April 2020, but it was still an attenuated version of the city. You need to come back in better weather, post-COVID. Right now, in May 2023, the city feels 80% back to normal to me, and getting closer to 2019 every day. Come back! Feel the real energy! And now that you’ve gotten all of the touristy stuff done, grab a local, and have them take you around. The “strange people” are always here, but they’re less-intimidating when there’s thousands of “normies” all around, too. :D

In NYC, you have to have multiple pairs of walking shoes, and switch shoes every other day. You were close to Lincoln Center when you went to Central Park, you should stop by there next trip. Also consider taking the NYC ferry to get around. Katz’s Deli is overrated. Okay to skip.

I do outside sales and my territory was NYC, and when I learned that I would be covering NYC I was a little intimidated, but years later I love the city and enjoy going there every time I can. There is so much to see and do and the food is great. It is the one place that is just like you would expect before you ever go there. It lives up to the hype, unlike Hollywood does.

72 nd street subway is my favorite station it’s a beautiful building ugh you just missed John Lennons apartment, yes enchanted was filmed right there, the deli is called a bodega
