They should give the first person to get a box an advantage, and let them “steal” anyone’s else’s box in later rounds, interchanging them. It would give the first bid winner something to do for the following rounds, as well as more strategy, and would encourage people to be more aggressive in the first round.

That feels like too much of one, if you really can just be bidding for whatever you want, and it discourages the later ones from bidding a lot becuase if it can be stolen with nothing to do about it than the most you ever want to put in is the suspected cost of the first box. Some mechanic may be neat but I don't think that one quite works.

This game could be super fun with some mechanics changes. Having more boxes than players and enough bidder buying power to potentially get multiple boxes would allow for everyone to remain engaged in the game and not be as cautious early on. Also, the idea of the the general contents of the last box being unknown and automatically won by the second highest bidder encourages folks to not bid so they can try and be awarded that box; allow players to see all of the boxes and don't have any boxes automatically awarded to players. The starting buying power of each player should be equal but low enough that the value of the boxes (for the most part) exceeds the starting buying power so players feel confident that bidding and winning boxes will win them the game versus saving their initial buying power to avoid a loss.

obviously everything on GMM is fun and entertaining to watch, and of course a lot of the games you guys play are original and unique which all of us appreciate, but, this one in particular truly makes no sense. Noone on this game would ever bid hundreds of dollars, so when you buy one item that is nearly double of all the others, whoever happens to get the last box just automatically wins, with pretty much near zero chance for anyone else. I think some changes need to be made to make this more balanced, leading to a more competitive and fun episode. much love!

I love this game! I would suggest changing the rules so that the person with the bet closest to the actual price wins. That way players are encouraged to keep bidding no matter what the items are. I would also love a mystery box challenge with just the mythical kitchen crew where all the mystery boxes are food or kitchen themed!
