Not just fear of having to be social, like an introvert might feel, but being in a place or situation with other people around you. Technically speaking, agoraphobia is fear of places and situations where leaving is impossible, difficult or embarrassing. It's classed as a social anxiety disorder.

I believe the percentage of Mythical Beasts who struggle with agoraphobia is probably noticeably-higher than that of the general population. It's a destination for folks who, for reasons that vary, may not be able to physically engage with their actual community. But, that's just a loose hypothesis:)

I have to admit I have a extreme version of Acrophobia. I had a panic attack on a Farris Wheel. I can’t even go on a small ladder without getting wobbly.

There's one aspect that they kept on ignoring and it messed them up greatly. These are phobias not simple fears. These are irrational by definition. They keep debating which one is a more common fear but discussing it as though it's a simple fear rather than a great irrational fear.

The fear of snakes being so low could be explained by the fact that people don't regularly run into snakes, so that makes discovering a fear like that more challenging. Though, I also thought arachnophobia would be there. I feel like spiders strike more fear than just general bugs.

Ranking snakes above the other animals was pretty confusing considering they're also kept as pets. How many people live in an area where they even SEE snakes in person that often? You see dogs and bugs pretty much everywhere

My biggest fears are heights and spiders. I am fairly claustrophobic, but it has to be a very tight place, MRIs don't bother me. I actually love snakes and reptiles in general. Craig would have been a welcome surprise for me, lol.
