As an elementary school teacher I will 100% vouch for the fruit candy order of importance. Kids go straight for the nerds, then sour patch kids, then Skittles, then starburst. Speaking from several years of student candy bribery experience.

For gummy bears and worms and those types of candy, they have a stamp that presses into corn starch which is filled with the GOO and is let to set and then they separate the gummy from the corn starch and re-use the leftover corn starch for another mold. It's a cheaper way of mass production without having to have a million molds that they have to clean. Thus, you are tasting a layer of corn starch before your saliva gets all down to the fruity parts.

Seeing Jolly Rancher leave so early hurts my heart, they have the BEST flavor that doesnt fade until its gone. I always keep a handful in my pocket at work. And Haribo is way too tough/chewy for me, Albanese have much better Gummy Bears in my opinion. But anyways, Fruity Candy > Chocolate candy any day. ♥️
