The food quality is dependent on how often they clean certain machines. I worked at BK for 2 in a half years and you could tell the difference in the food when you had a machine that was just freshly cleaned.

Wendy's by far has higher quality food over McDonald's. When I was in the business my Wendy's spent on average 26-28% on food cost versus the McDonalds down the street that spent around 16%. Unfortunately for Wendy's it comes down to execution. With higher quality comes more difficulty in reproducing the higher standards that Wendy's sets. For McDonald's it's a lot easier to produce same low quality taste from store to store customers expect.

I feel like wendys got done an injustice here, the baconator should have gone up against the big mac, and the daves double should have gone up against a double quarter pounder. also, for the breakfast side of this, i will agree with you guys on that match up, but, you could have gone mcgriddle against the breakfast baconator...though i feel that may have been unfair for mcdonalds, seeing as they dont really have an offering even remotely close to it...but i avoid mcdonalds at all costs, wendy's is by far a better experience and so much more tasty!
