i think he has doubles in his mvs :) like the footballplayer in "stars" or the one in "check it out" but its ok we enjoy the music and the message behind every story. marshmello and shalizi did a genius decision by putting a mistery around him. if you want you could compare it to the dance world's "jabbawockees" when they still kept their identity a secret. they created a sort of movement, where everyone starts wearing a mask and where the essence is art itself and not the dancer as celebrities. it's about unity and equality and the aesthetic way to express yourself. similar to that marshmello is like reminding everyone to see the beauty in life.

For all those complaining about the sound effects; that is part of Marshmello's act. GMM has always gone above and beyond to incorporate their guest into the show. I can't recall which episode, but they had a guest on they collaborated with and the guest was surprised they literally found the same font style he used when making his own videos. It's what they do. If someones act is them not talking but making up for it with musical interaction, what justice would it do them or their act to have it dead silent in those moments? That might be a deal breaker between someone wanting to check out their channel or content because the silence is awkward or less entertaining. Besides, the same people complaining of the sound effects would just complain of the silence. So why misrepresent him?
