And I can most certainly tell you that the most important thing she would ever remember and certainly the most important is that she had two parents who devoted themselves to her with their whole hearts. Personally, I find this vlog particularly close to my heart because it showcases love in its purest and highest form. Imagine if we all put aside our differences and loved each other without conditions. Imagine if we focused more on the divine beings of beauty that reside within everyone rather than the physical part of us, the outer shell ... Everybody would have enough to eat, homelessness would no more, wars, violence and all those things that threaten to rip this fragile planet apart, would cease. We would morph into this huge family on earth. A family that exists in a world filled with love, light and endless laughter. Unconditional love. That's what Christmas is all about, and you, Schoeller family are unwittingly reenacting it out. I totally get it! Our kids are 21yrs, 27 yrs, & 32yrs and we raised all of them with our own traditions and we haven’t really gotten a lot of gifts and things since our oldest was 5 yrs old. That’s the beauty of having children they give us the gift of starting things anew but on our terms. Well said mommy and daddy. She’s blessing your lives in unique ways that you didn’t think would happen but appreciate them nonetheless. The price of the gift isn’t what’s important but the thought behind the gift is what matters. That’s the lesson I got from my parents although my childhood was NOT the best I understood that the unconditional love that was given to me made up for some of the bad times. Looking at the excitement and humbleness of your daughter while opening her gifts proves that you found the perfect balance you wanted her to accept with receiving her gifts. John, time will absolutely heal old wounds with the mercy and grace of God. I can understand that traumas can hinder someone from enjoying the holidays. Especially if death came around the time you are supposed to be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. And by me being a Christian, I love Christmas! Regardless of the consumerism and commercialization of Christmas, I keep in mind that I celebrate the coming of the savior.
