When it comes to trauma kits everyone need to do two think 1) Buy and carry them everywhere 2) PRAY TO GOD THAT YOU JUST WASTED MONEY BY BUYING IT

Suturing is a good skill to have but I highly recommend you do otherwise. If the cut warrants sutures, use any form of wound close like butterfly bandages, steri strips, or ZZips like you said and get the patient to a hospital or clinic. Suturing can be dangerous because of how dirty the wound could be, you need to heavily irrigate the wound and disinfect it. Lots of people who use sutures, skin glue, or (sadly) super glue develop serious infections because they close the wound while it’s dirty and they completely seal it which prevents fluids from draining.
