Once upon a time, there were artists who produced quality songs both lyrically and musically. A superior sound that you can never get enough of...! In other words, songs that you can enjoy endlessly...! "Spanish Eddie... " released in 1985 and still popular in 2023. Laura BRANIGAN... pure youth sentiment and American top class...! With all the deserved praise for Laura, I would like to mention her producers and their inspiration. Spanish Eddie was an NYC mafioso who went far out of his way to establish a citywide truce and reduce street violence. He got shot while doing so, yet survived, and the meeting actually happened and the truce was established. This song commemorates one of the greatest diplomats of the 20th century. Cudos!

Zulu swashbuckler. Agent b7 I heard and read that it was about some policeman in the 70s who tried to make a truce between the gangs but was not very successful maybe what I heard and read was not accurate if it wasn't sorry definitely don't want to tarnish the name of someone that was trying to do something heroic especially with something like this.

These songs were hymns, there is no comparison with what can be heard today: noise, awful singers, lyrics? It is said that every time was better, in this case it is the truth. Rest in peace, dear and sweet Laura; you gave us a lot of joy. Estos temas fueron himnos, no tiene comparación con lo que hoy se escucha, ruidos, pésimos cantantes, ¿letras? Dicen que todo tiempo fue mejor, en este caso es la pura verdad. Descansa en paz, querida y dulce Laura.
