I was in the choir featured in the latter half of the video!! I was 14 years old, and was a part of the New Jersey Mass Choir at the time, which consisted of the adult choir which had a couple gospel records out at the time that were kind of big in the gospel world, and the youth division of which I was a part. When Foreigner wanted to do the video, they connected with our director, Donnie Harper, who brought adults and some chosen youth members to New York to film our parts for the video. It was an incredible experience I will never forget. Being a black gospel choir, it was definitely not lost on us how meaningful it was to connect with a different race on a song like this that would have appeal across color lines. It was a wonderful time.

Foreigner were a new band for me then, but he was a big fan, and he bought me all their albums that had been released up to that time. We are still together, and we still love this song. When I answered her call, all the memories came back and everything in me felt that love I wanted..we cried both cried tears of pain and grief..she told me she was looking for me all her life n I was the same..we now met but it's too late..I am hurt inside because she was the love of my life...now it's late I'm getting married. Hey man, any song that properly portrays love and a beautiful story deserves its credit. This one is seriously good though it’s got plenty of important build and is a rock and roll ballad with a guy strong enough to sing about his emotions and facing the great endeavor of welcoming love back into his cold heart, that’s a real song, he’s afraid but willing to be open and accept the love he needs back into his heart. That’s amazing right there. That’s what good music is, and it’s genuine, it should be beloved and respected. Also its pace is outstanding man

I was at the VA hospital when I was 45 years old my oldest brother was having his second brain surgery and I was there and this song came on and I was in the parking lot and the surgeon came out and said your brother went through surgery very well after he conquered two big tumors in his head he lost his battle with cancer because his heart gave out on him after all that surgery and everything cuz he loved his family and his grandkids he was trying to stay alive for everybody
