Thanks for the vid! I'm considering these bags for my 701 for BDR action. Tip that's been working as a pillow for me: The pouch from a big Costco box wine. Rinse it out as best you can, then I wrapped in a layer of egg-foam and put it in a soft fleece stuff sack; it packs down to nothing. Can inflate to your preference (I fill it all the way up pretty firm for neck support). Could wrap it in a t-shirt or other clothes for the softness.

With Regards to the straps coming loose, you can also just use round washers and feed both parts through it. A little easier than the knot if you remove your bags at your destination. The straps won't come loose at all. I use the washers on all the straps. Great Video. These bags are truly good value for money. I've done 12.000km with mine and they are still holding up fine.

Thanks for sharing! So glad there is a budget option like these bags. Hoping to pick some of these up and hit the local BDR.

They are not the toughest material, I haven’t had them tear open on me… but my buddy did on a fall. Carry some duct tape with you just in case. It’s is a great budget bag 🍻

We use these in our tours in New Zealand. They are pretty tough for what they cost. We will keep using them. Tim Rumble Rumbling Adventures

Good to see this. I've been looking for a rack system for my T7 and had just found some in Norway/Europe resonable but over there. I have a Giant Loop Siskenyou , something like to secure and I use then on several bikes. Motoes

Those bags look like a good bang for the buck! The top of the line bags (top of the line everything) are seriously up there in prices these days, and we all need that dollar to stretch where it can!! That terrain looked pretty gnarly, a puckering level of 8 haha, rocks, snow or sand are always the great ADV equalizers .....

It was a great ride. Already planning a trip back to Webster Pass to complete the route

@@AdventureTomek very cool, yeah some of those sections look pretty tough, we gotta try to always remember that our feet know a lot more about balancing than our butts …. 😂 but standing on some steep declines can get a bit scary especially on the big bikes ….
@AdventureTomek5 ай бұрын
@@Adventure_Ready_Life it was very loose and steep. Bike off, first gear, feet down and using clutch as rear brake.

@@AdventureTomek I’ll have to dig up an old video of my buddy and I breaking off from our group to take the “fast way” back down to the Hwy on a scouting ride for one of our motocamping events. I was all clinched up dragging both feet through multiple 100 plus foot power slides brakes locked and my big pig of an Adv bike just kept gaining speed! 😂

Bought some Rhinowalk luggage for my Dr650, a different model, but overall very happy. I've owned many premium bags and hard cases in the past, and I don't think these will last AS long, but they should last plenty for the price. I've used them for a couple of trips and they still look like new.

I got the 2x14L for £90,-. Mounting them is indeed a puzzle. But got it done and they do the job just fine. No issues with straps coming loose here.

I did part of NEBDR on my ktm 690, they were great. I did not fall though.

I don't see these doing very well on a higher speed fall.

The Motoes side racks bend when you fall. Ask me how I know. 😂

@achoistory I am just about to buy both the Motoes tops and side racks. Are you aware of a better side panel that might hold up better. I like the Motoes combo because of the handles to make lifting the bike easier. Any recommendations are appreciated?
@Achoistory4 ай бұрын
@@trailrunnermike The Motoes are the only ones I've used so I don't have a recommendation otherwise. I don't mind them at all. Yeah, they bend, but they are easy to bend back into shape.
@BjuthT74 ай бұрын
Great video- did you find you needed the Motoes top rack, or are the side racks all you needed to mount the bags securely? Thinking of just getting the side racks rather than the combo set with the top rack.
@AdventureTomek4 ай бұрын
I found it easier and a bit more secure for mounting with the top rack'

In the other vid you had the regular pipe and in this one you have the high pipe. Was there any issues with keeping it off the exhaust, or did the side brackets solve that? I have the mivv dakar and wonder if I’ll need that exhaust shield thing. Cool vid!
@AdventureTomek5 ай бұрын
It seemed to clear fine with the stock setup. I just like the Motoes side racks, it keeps the bags off the bike and I have a few more mount points so they don’t flop around as much.

It seems like these are good for camping but if you do a hotel night you would need to remove the whole system instead of inner bags like some systems have. Do I have it right?
@AdventureTomek4 ай бұрын
Yes, or just find some separate bags for it.

Have you ever used the giant loop tail bag that looks like a tube? I’ve never used them before but I’m considering something like that for my tenere to offer capacity between the tusk bags I have and some old but still great shape massive wolfman bags I have ….

Whe worst thing about this bags is that it can’t be detached from the bike fast
@Angry-Lynx5 ай бұрын
i kinda agree, and its very minor but they dont look good when empty, and theres no way to quickly and easily compress them, so they are tight. but it should be very easy to sew in additional buckles to front and back straps for quick release, but for now i dont have reason to detatch them so im fine with it ;

I had them. They lasted 4 days, or 2 days offroad...Go for a better brand, not a knockoff. They kept sagging down offroad. I had to use other straps to hold them in place. Wish I've seen your method earlier. 2 D-buckles ripped out, without even pulling hard. Pull strap ripped out....A very, very light rub to a wooden pole ripped the bag over 8 inches. Very dissapointed in this product. Think twice, by once.
