Tbh I dont think anything he said was bad except for the last line. It seems like he already talked to her about his cheating and shell have to read about it since hes aired it all out and its better he hears it from her. Plus i dont think theres anything wrong with a parent telling their child they messed up before others do (children will find out anyway) and explaining why they did what they did (not that its okay) and how theyll be better, especially since kids tend to blame themselves illogically. That being said, her reaction is definitely valid. The only big problems with that scene are that he didnt change at all and he didnt even try to comfort her properly, plus he had her on camera and around hella strangers. Thats not how a parent is supposed to comfort their clearly upset child and that was a damn shame to see.
