I disagree with your comments about the confrontation between Kandi and Phaedra. I think Kandi is just as responsible for the destruction of their friendship as Phaedra is. She passively supported Apollo by allowing him to hide his stuff from his wife and the feds, lying about it and then trying to throw Phaedra under the bus about the Feds finding out about the hidden items when it was Kandi herself who told on herself by running her mouth on WWHL. Not only that, Apollo was also cheating on Phaedra so he is not innocent. I've watched all the seasons and I didnt hear Phaedra say anything that warranted Kandi's response. Fact is Todd was talking about the money issue he had with Phaedra to ANYONE who would listen EXCEPT Phaedra. They were very hostile (passively - if that makes sense) to Phaedra and it was largely due to the Apollo situation. Kandi even acknowledged how society views women who dont ride or die for their men but as with everything else she sped over the point quickly because it doesnt support her trash behaviour. I think Phaedra is generally private and conscious of her image as a public figure. I dont think there's an issue with someone wanting to control their image and the narrative that surrounds them. I mean people on this cast make up stories about their lives all the time - Sheree and Kenya are prime examples of that. It's really not that deep for Kandi to attack Phaedra so viciously. It was a bit much in my opinion. for her to suddenly find her voice to defend her husband when she couldnt speak up for him all of 12 months ago when her mother and friends were ganging up on him. I often wonder if your relationship with Kandi biases your opinions about her behaviour...

Najah Husser As crude as it sounds I think the relationship was based on nothing but superficiality. Phaedra was physically attracted to Apollo and the sex between them was great. She got pregnant and cleaned it up by marrying him to cover it all up. With her mother being a pastor and her a relatively famous attorney she was doing damage control and thought she could make lemonade with that lemon. It blew up in her face. Regardless, I see the mess she's made of her life and I am still sympathetic. She wants to choose what she shares and I personally think she has every right to do that but her cast mates don't and think it's their right to 'expose' what I think most viewers already know. They look dumb being so heavily invested in someone's business who doesn't have time for you.

What I hate the most is that Kandi seemed to take Apollo's side over Phaedra's in all their drama, which is messed up. Feelings aren't necessarily black and white. It's completely possible to be sad that a relationship is ending (especially with a co-parent, I imagine) while simultaneously being happy to be free from their shenanigans and tomfoolery. Kandi should know...crying over how block did her and Riley one minute, then saying he'll need Riley before she needs him the next. The fact that she expressed both of those things doesn't make her feelings any less genuine.

Kandi was revealed to be mean-spirited, messy, cruel and insensitive just like her mother. Sitting around the workplace with coworkers and your spouse gossiping and signifying about your former friend is childish and petty. Kandi can't get over Phaedra's friendship with Nene and wants to destroy her. No grown woman does this. A terrible look for Kandi. No longer entertaining.

I disagree. I think Kandi came out looking like the asshole in this situation. Phaedra was classy, Kandi was angry and very petty bringing up Phaedra dating other men before Apollo went to prison. She also brought up that Phaedra wanted Apollo gone and was happy to see him leave. Kandi just seems to be feeling herself a little too much since her marriage and baby.
