I did miss some seasons but I thought they agreed on all their investments together as a married couple. Marriage is give and take, would that same standard be placed on a woman that is being placed on Peter. If one spouse it up and they help the other in the long run we all win

Did they agree? Seemed like it. But that's like someone telling you that if you invest $50K you'll get $100K in return. You believe and say YES. Then you lose your $50K and they say, well that's the risk. Then you do it again, and again and again. At some point, any SMART person would be less inclined to give you more money. Married or not. Just because we are married doesn't mean you have carte blanche to spend ALL MY MONEY and leave me penniless and I am forced to let you. That would make me a fool. Especially when all the money being LOST on these bad investments .... is mine. You can't secure a retirement on intentions. That's no different than having a spouse who is always spending, spending, spending (clothes, purses, shoes) but has NO JOB. Unless you're are rich to the point where that doesn't matter, you'll probably start to side eye the other partner REAL QUICK. If you're damn near 60 and STILL chasing a get rich quick scheme... chances are you are just a failure. Either that or a scam artist. Either way, that's not attractive. Married or not.

i believe in a partnership, if you choose the right spouse you will not have to worry about them trying to take you for anything and you can build together. In addition a good man wants to take care of his woman and is proud when he can. Opening bars and restaurants are not get rich schemes, they are not the smartest investments but far from get rich schemes. I don't know everything about their relationship but I didn't see Peter taking advantage of Cynthia, I do however, see that Todd may be an opportunist as it pertains to Kandi, but i must be honest I didn't pay too much attention to Peter and Cynthia b/c they are boring to me so maybe you saw something....

The worst experience in a marriage is not having wise elders to counsel and mentor. Marriage takes a lot of patience, work, cooperation, understanding, trust, respect and consistent communication. You are married to someone who isn't you from a different culture, having a different perspective on life. Cynthia and Peter needed to be around older folks, married over thirty years, who are comfortable sharing their experiences. Marriage is tough.

I don't think the issue is not knowing how to be married. You can be married to someone who is fiscally responsible or someone who is not. If the two of you do not share those values in common then it is probably best to separate. So I wish she'd stop saying that. She knows herself to know what she will and will not tolerate. Just because you're married doesn't mean that you just have to put up with whatever. That's why you need to know you first, stand on your values, and not compromise just for love's sake.
