How could this possibly be $99? Or even $140?!? This has got to make this the go-to Rhodes keyboard plugin and it blows my mind. Thanks for such an amazing demo. It was something i could listen to for hours. The music just brought me back to that rock era gone by. This is why you are the man.

What a gift!!! There's something in that music video that knocked me off my feet 🥹 A second one after giving a new clue about the song you played backwards by Sequential Instruments. By the way your version is very expressive, I would like you play it entirely with your synths. When is your birthday DrMix ?

Also apparently the Rhodes V8 is no longer the only virtual Rhodes Mark 8 in existence. Christian Henson of Crow Hill (formerly of Spitfire) made an electric piano plugin that's a hybrid of Rhodes Mark 8, Rhodes Piano Bass, Rhodes Celeste, and Wurlitzer 200A. Ok so not purely Mark 8 but still

Tested today and compared with Pianoteq 8 on a Ryzen 7 78xx with 32GB of RAM +1 for making a demo version available (2.6GB) with fast and easy installation. Great to be able to test it yourself in your own environment +1 for the price (115 euros) +1 for the response (while using as VST in Bitwig Studio). I think the response is better than with the V8 plugin +1 for the interface. All controls are quickly available and easy to fine-tune +1 for the bass sound +1 for sounding natural (lots of difference while playing, but sometimes it also sounds flat to me) -1 for difference in volume between patches -1 patch names do not always make sense. For example "xx hall" and then still a heavy delay applied to it -1 not many mic settings, Pianoteq has lots more of control -1 I don't like the position of the instruments when using headphones as much as with Pianoteq. Pianoteq is much wider (you can adjust them with plugins of course) -1 I still think Pianoteq's response is better, the feeling is almost unmatchable in my opinion -1 Pianoteq offers some more customization options for creating 'crazy sounds'
@Fastvoice19 күн бұрын
As an owner of Pianoteq I still believe that electric keyboards are its weak point. I'd prefer any generic Rhodes plugin or Keyscape.

I can’t pretend to know how the technology behind plug ins etc work, but I notice that the V8 is 20GB and anthology is under 3. I know they went to town on the V8, but I’m surprised that Anthology sounds as good as (or in my opinion) better than the V8. Do u think they actually sampled four different instruments, or just one and tweaked it to make the other three? Or is it just a MK 8 “tweaked” Just interested. Sounds bloody good to me how ever it’s made.

It sounds terrible. I have two real rhodes, this sample library sounds incredibly thin and one dimensional. Comparing it to Keyscape this sounds like a joke. Roland has never got these sounds right, there is no way you who are a legitimate keyboard guy can stand behind this and not give an honest review. Not everything you get a chance to show or are sponsored to show is good. I had early access to this plug and I wrote them back and was horribly disappointed.
