When you fire a (warning) shot before entering and rescuing the lady, the robbers will come outside saving you the trouble of carrying them outside.

I can remember doing the first event saving the wife but i cant remember coming across the convicts, so i went to that area to see if they were there and they were both dead on the ground still chained up, im guessing without realizing it i strayed near them one time triggering the event and i kept going not noticing them, by me doing that they were doomed to die by crocodiles which is what appears to have happened. Its a shame man i'm usually alert to when the white blip appears but i guess its easy to miss them if you are distracted in some way.

Good to know. The best one I know of is in that burnt down town just south of horseshoe overlook. In the sheriffs office there are 2 gold bars. It’s supposed to be to respawn every 3 days or so but I haven’t checked back yet.

@@sufyyy8360 have to wait much longer than 3 days. I don't exactly know how long. The best free income for me is at the tomb near Shady Bell. $75 respawn everyday guaranteed.

There are multiple interactions with prisoners. This is one of the shortest and most lucrative though!

I literally just had this mission last night. I didn't do much after it, maybe went to camp and saved. Came back and they were already desd by then, so I guess it doesn't take long

OK, that's rad as F. I'll have to try it some time. Sly jerks at rocksteady, putting an innocuous bonus after a stranger activity, and you have to reset the cell to get it.

@@AverageJ03Gaming Nope genuine human error. Maybe I forgot to have my coffee that day, I don't know, it was 5 days ago, sometimes I forget what I thought 5 minutes ago. I don't even know where I got "rocksteady" from. I've played and completed GTA games from 3, San Andreas, Vice City, GTA 4 and 5, and both Rdr game's, played and completed them. Tho some are a fever dream, like, when did Leeroy shout at me "we just had to catch the damn train, CJ?" I KNOW it happened. Fuzzy on the when. Damn, I'm rambling. My point is that I KNOW Rockstar... So where did that other thing come from? 🤷‍♂️

I was hunting when the husband showed up and he got scared and ran off. I did save the prisoner coming out of the woods 2-3x before and when I got near this shack for my first time in the bayou they were there. You just have to make sure when you approach this shack without the stranger mission that you go to the side and look for the prisoners. If you miss them and/or they are dead you will miss the dialogue and chance for that gold.

Im currently doing a playthrough on my channel and I did the mission where I saved the guys wife. But when I came back later on attempting to collect the Orchids for Herbalist 9 I seen the 2 men chained together and were dead. Thats weird because I had not been back in that area since. The valentine bank robbery gives you 2500 is the most money you can. Each gold bar in chapter 2 sold for 500 and you can easily get 8 gold bars (the 2 bars from the Hall gang treasure hunt and the other 6 bars), after chapter 2 it's only worth 300. Buying horses is the most you can spend on, or bounty pay.

@MrPhoxy no, this dudes just saying shit. I'm assuming they got confused cause of the first chapter 3 mission. The German couple you save gives you a gold ingot which is worth 300 dollars. Gold bars are worth 500 dollars and do not degrade in value no matter what chapter you find them in.

Random encounters are VERY random. For some players the prisoners don’t even spawn alive because they passed them by without realizing it at some earlier point in the game. This guide is a sure way to trigger them, for those who couldn’t get them to spawn easily otherwise.

I think you half to encounter the 2 prisoners killing the guards first to activate it. I made the mistake of killing one of the dudes, but then got killed by an angry farmer lol. You would think that it would respawn but it didn't

It’s a 50-50 chance. I’ve heard people talk about only losing money and retaining the valuables, but I had been stockpiling stuff in anticipation of the switchover and lost over $3,000 worth of stuff.

Sell all your gold before going to the pig farm, all the other collectables will stay in the satchel like meteorites and things, just not the gold or cash.

cash wont transfer over but all of the stuff he has in the satchel will, i.e meteorites, jimmy brooks pen, any things youve looted. if you wait until the end to do the aberdeen pig farm interaction (let them rob you) and dont go back for the money until after you switch as john then you can go back for the cash in the epilogue

If you’re referring to saving the wife at the shack, then you may have missed the prisoner spawn already, if so they both may spawn deceased. It won’t hurt to go there and try. If you were referring to saving the prisoner and he gave you the tip, then yes you can still go retrieve the gold bar.

If they spawn deceased you won’t be able to get the treasure. You’ve most likely passed them up before without realizing it

Excellent video. Veery thorough. I had no idea tgat gold was tgere but always felt like saving tge lady at the shack was unfinished business. I online now but will start story mode again also. I subscribed. Hey? I thought I had all the gold offered lol. Goes to show. Yesterday on Facebook a personsin showed me a complete different tree ent stash in New Austin. So John's rich. Next run-through I'm gonna leve him Arthurs money. At the aberdeen pigfarm. I'm trying to work that out. Would love to see how John recovers tge money in a bid. I have been told it is the only way to leave him a stash. It gets put into the fireplace? John goes back and gets it? Anyway if I figure it out I'll try share. Again awesome vid.

Yeah that’s what happened. Getting them to spawn can be very tricky. If they’re both dead then you probably passed them without realizing it at some point earlier n the game.

Tried after seeing a vid, gold wasn't there. Found the 2 boys chained but after freeing the fella who's still alive, I pointed a gun at him and he bolted b4 he mentioned gild. Haven't gone back to Rhodes to check if the gold is there
