Rhodes - the fourth largest island of Greece, is blessed with picturesque nature, beautiful beaches and exquisite restored monuments from the reign of the Johannites. The symbol of the island state is one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Colossus of Rhodes, which probably stood at the entrance to the port of Mandraki. The eastern part of the island is an attractive tourist destination for bathing and sunbathing enthusiasts, while the western, windier part appeals mainly to lovers of water sports - kiting and windsurfing.
