Rhodes Race Cars Foxbody Mustang Roll Cage Review- BUY S&W INSTEAD

Here's a small review of the Rhodes Race Cars Roll Cage, and S&W Race Cars for a foxbody hatchback mustang.

Short version- The Rhodes Roll Cage was a literal nightmare of inconsistency and bad fitment. Customer service was great. S&W fitment was a pleasure to deal with, and their customer service was great. Both are close to the same price. BUY THE S&W

Thanks for the Vid I talked with SW Race awhile ago I have a 76 Monza T/C and just like you no interior panels !! They told me right up that the cage I wanted would be to small since all measurements they do is with a full interior !! They told me that when I order the cage they will send a pdf showing me where to take the new measurements and they would make the adjustments to my cage in the shop then send it GREAT COMPANY

I wonder if the Rhodes Race Cars Roll Cage was designed around being welded to a 2x2" kicker bar off some in-floor subframe connectors instead of a piece of 6x6 plate like it looks like your hoop is welded to. Would definitely explain why it was so short.

@@MaximumJEFFort I would lean towards S&W if you have any fabrication skills. Hold and weld, Team Z offers one. Codion will be offering one soon, and I highly suggest checking them out on FB if you've got one. Cody's stuff is awesome. I'll be posting a tube front end video soon.

@@cturboaddictI've been eyeballing the teamz kit, I've had alot of good experiences with their products. I think Wild Ride Race Cars has a very nice kit too. I'm not like a super fabricator, but I've done cage work before and own a notcher have gotten pretty good at making fit up perfect with an angle grinder. I actually own a tubing bender and a 1 5/8 die....but it just seems like there's so many good cage options available it's not really worth the exact hours of bending up my own for the small increase in cost.

@@MaximumJEFFort buy the prebent at least. And take your time. I did mine with an $80 Amazon notcher and some Lenox hole saws. Did just fine. The only downside to the hold and weld is you get stuck with their placement. I got mine a little tighter the way I did it. If you want a team z kit, find Ryan Etheridge on FB. He's a dealer and can save you some money. He lives in GA.

Its too late for me 😂 i own a rhodes road race cage for 94-04 Mustang but what to install in a 1989 Mustang. So the runner bars are better than the Halo?? Hoow much you pay for runner bars?
