I was lucky enough to see Rhodes supporting Rufus Wainwright a few months ago, and this song in particular blew me away. There aren't words for this kind of talent.

Do you, remember when we used to run? Sometimes i think alone, I dream under the sun And i know, it's a long long time ago now But i missed, missed so Hold, hold me down ... Hold, hold on to your side Oh why do we run, oh run So far from each other Always in love, oh love So hard to remember But i'm tired now Tired of grow We never did, we never did walk alone So hold, hold me down .... Hold, hold on to your side So far from each other Always in love, oh love So hard to remember In the silence Where your heart beats in mine And you thought you might disguese .... Oh why do we run, oh run So far from each other Always in love, oh love So hard to remember.

Like a thread holding on, the bond of love stretches over unimaginable distances - over time and space - until the infinite string of memory sunders. This song is the mere pinnacle of impeccable delineations; it portrays with absolute accuracy how the yearning for lost love is truly like. You've created an absolute indescribable ambiance, and fueled it with the most frail poetry - authentic by heart. It's a delight to listen to, or like Trump would say: "IT'S HUGEEEEEEEE!" Keep it up, Rhodes!

Your music sounds as if it was created by god himslef, it sets my heart on fire it is so truly beautiful. When I was in London I wanted to go see you on a festival but there were no tickets left. I am hoping, since the day I discovered you for myself, that your going on a tour through Europe and that if you do, you will not miss Switzerland! Otherwise I have to go to England again and see you there because I fell in love with your music. Keep going your doing great. And if you get more famous, the people out there will discover the beauty of your music, same as I did a while ago.

Do you remember when we used to run Sometimes I think alone I dream over the side And I know, it's a long long time ago now. And I miss it. Miss it so. Hold it. Hold down to the word. Hold on to yourself. The way we run so far from each other Why is it love, love. So hard do remember. And I'm tired now. Tired of growing. We never did, we never did walk alone anyway. So hold. Hold down for us. So hold. Hold down to yourself. Oh the way that we run. So far from each other. Oh why is it love, love, love. So hard to remember. In the silence of your hearth beats your mind. And you though you might disguise them from mine. Oh why do we run, run, run. So far from each other. Oh is it love, so hard to remember.

Just listening to this today, after multiple times doing so already in the past, I realized something. This sounds completely raw. I don't know if it's just me, but this, for the most part, sounds like there were no effects or even the slightest bit of clearing-up done on it whatsoever. It sounds like he just recorded it live, no filters, but in a quiet studio; it sounds so raw and untainted. It's almost like this was recorded in a venue, but with no one around, just him and the music. It doesn't sound like jyst an audio recording. It sounds REAL.
