Well, I made my first amigurumi, thanks to you! My granddaughter has a leopard gecko. So I made the body in a yellowish color like hers. Now she wants some black markings like her gecko. Will see her soon and will try to accomplish that with black yarn. I used 4-wt cotton with a G hook. I will definitely be making more of your patterns. The tutorial was great! I watched lots of ads while making this, so I hope you earn a little revenue!

@rhondadawnbutler5 күн бұрын
Oh I didn’t keep track of the yarn amount when I made it, but I just weight it finnished, and it’s 2.4 ounces with Bernat blanket yarn. So I’d think you should be safe with 2 ounces. 😊

Try doing the eye row in reverse. You may have to do the same for the legs. I just know that it works for the legs on my new sew body sitting animals for the leg row. ❤️😊❤️
@rhondadawnbutler6 ай бұрын
I just realized the eye row is the same backwards, lol. Try doing the leg rows in reverse. If you can’t get it. You could skip the legs in the pattern. Then add them later. Make 4 legs leaving a tail start before you start the chains. and at the end for attaching. 😊

I know, I debated which was easier, crocheting more rows so close to the eyes, or doing a few more rows even though it was a tight fit. Glad you got it done though and are happy with it! 🥰

Help! Im as far as.the back legs. When I addd them, they ended up on the top of my gecko instead of lining up.with the front legs on the bottom. What am i doing wrong?
@rhondadawnbutlerАй бұрын
It’s hard to tell with out seeing it. Is it possible you put it down and ended up crocheting the opposite direction, (with your hook on the backside instead of the front) I’ve done that before, for a lot longer than I should of before realizing it, lol. If you can’t figure it out, you should be able to adjust that row by adding the legs where they line up for you, and ignoring my stitch count. Good luck, and hope it works out 👍😊❤️
@kaylawright650113 күн бұрын
I found mine didn’t quite line up either, so I added a few single crochet until they lined up, and did the 3 crochet between, then filled in the rest.
@rhondadawnbutler12 күн бұрын
@@kaylawright6501 hmm I still can’t figure out why this happens, but I’m soooo glad you got it figured out. Unless it’s a tension issue. I find my stitches are tighter and smaller when I start compared to the middle or if I’m decreasing a bunch of rows. 👍😊❤️

@rhondadawnbutler4 ай бұрын
Put it down for a bit and then come back, or try doing less of them, it could just be the yarn and hook your using. Or skip it and just do a sc instead. You can always come back after it’s done and embroider little eyelids at the top of the eyes 😊👍🥰
