7:15 sooooo when Garcelle shared her very difficult struggle with her eldest son and the moment she had to turn him away from her home, or when she admitted to the mistakes she feels she made in her rage when discovering her husband’s affair wasn’t sharing parts of her life? I disagree she hasn’t shared her life. Those are things Garcelle could very much have been judged for and she shared it authentically, vulnerably and openly. Having her youngest sons confront her and say she could have been more present and supportive, that must have felt like a gut punch to her. But she opened that topic with them and encouraged them to share their honest thoughts. I don’t think Kyle shares much about her life. I think Kyle reacts to aspects of her life that get revealed on the show that she couldn’t control and keep off the show. She then shuts down, defends and deflects. In my opinion, it’s not Kyle’s “character” she’s scared of being tarnished, it’s her “image” and those are very different things.

I have empathy for anyone that has been sexually assaulted. SA is unfortunately part of my story too. That being said I never used my SA as a way to garner sympathy. I struggled w substance abuse for many yrs after the SA, but eventually went to therapy, and learned how to cope. TBH, Brynn seems to have personality disorder, and needs years of therapy. She never takes accountability for her lies or bad behavior.

I've also been on the receiving end of sexual assault. Both as a child and as an adult. Each was from someone who claimed to love me. Both were family members. My sister & I both have been SA’d as children. We both went to therapy. Brynn reminds me of my sister with stirring pots, manipulation and lying.
