It's been a while since I saw Reunomi's last work in Geometry Dash. That would probably have to be one of his parts in some megacollab. He has been in a few of my megacollabs, and I've tried to convince him to join even more over time. That should show just how big of a fan I am of him to begin with. He's always created extremely clean and polished art and effects in the editor. Limiting it to just that may be a disservice to him as well, as he's made extremely nice block designs and modern-looking stuff too. He's just an all-around great creators, and it's impressive how long-throughout several updates-he's managed to be this good.
When ILRELL told me about this level a bit ago, I knew I had to go try it out for myself. It's pretty quick to play fully considering the fact that it's an Auto level. According to Reunomi's video of the level, this is a fan music video using the song Rhuzerv by Feryquitous (featuring Sennzai). From asking ILRELL and looking around, it appears to be pretty original while capturing some vibes from music videos of similar songs. There have been levels inspired by music videos in the game in the past, but they've all borrowed a bit too much in my opinion, while this appears to be way more original. Please let me know if this is wrong and if you know any sources of inspiration. From what I know of Reunomi, though, he's an extremely creative person, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is mostly original as some research suggests.
Why is this level good? It's just entertaining to watch unfold from start to finish, and that's what Auto levels need. The synchronization to the very nice song, which isn't on Newgrounds (but there's a decent remix for replacement), is handled perfectly. Visually, it's quite abstract, so it's hard to put some meaning into the visuals, but that's not an issue to me. The technical ability Reunomi displays here with effects, colors, glow, and everything else is what makes it exciting to me. I will say that the first minute sets the bar quite high in terms of variety, changing the visuals quite often, while 1:14 until the end is a bit repetitive. Changing it up more frequently here would have made it even better, but the parts themselves are still very good quality, and it doesn't change how good the first minute is whatsoever. Unless this has some performance issues, I think this deserves an Epic Auto rating. Reunomi really just used the Geometry Dash editor to make a great music video.
