Captain Lee, Kate, and Ashton reunite as a team and embark on an exciting new season in Thailand on mega yacht “Valor.” After his brush with death last season and promotion to bosun, Ashton’s work hard, play harder persona is at an all-time high. While his leadership on deck holds strong, Ashton struggles below deck to keep his emotions in check after the crew gets an unexpected surprise that rocks Ashton to his core. Chef Kevin’s high standards and strict rules for the kitchen and service clash with Kate’s stew style, leading to fiery confrontations in the galley. Kate tries to foster a productive work environment for her team, but when Simone feels favoritism to Courtney, the stews go head-to-head. Tanner should not be discussing what he and Simone are doing in private, have some class! Kate could have been a little kinder to Simone when explaining what the problem was. Some of these people are hired with little or no experience and then criticized for not being able to do the job. At least Rhylee seems to have some insight into her anger issues, she just needs to learn how to control it. The guys are right that she seems to enjoy the drama!

I think the problem was that Simone made her resume look as though she had a lot of experience and that she knew what she was doing. I would be frustrated as well in Kate's shoes if I was lead to believe I had a capable 2nd stew coming on, and then finding out that they have no clue what they're doing. She wasn't hired with the intention of having to teach her everything from the ground up in terms of the service aspect. Simone seems like a nice girl, but that whole situation is annoying lol.

Actually on an Bravo after show Capt Lee praised Reilly (even though he was ruff on her about Not calling ‘Man Over board 3times -not. Just the one time) because that saved Ashtons life-The only way Capt Lee knows to shut engines down is hearing ‘Man Overboard’ Its true the Cameramen cut the rope but if she hadn’t said ‘Man Overboard’ the engines would have pulled that rope instantly & ashtonwouldhave been done. Even though the others all said they preferred any one else than Reilly on deck when in fact she’s was the only one that reacted correctly to the Ashton situation -JMO I think Ashton was made Bosun as a pay back for his accident & Reilly got the second chance for her efforts during the accident. Like her or not Reilly does have the necessary skills to be a good deck hand.

Courtney and Rayhlee are absolute aphas. I did like Simone and really hated how Kate spoke to her when she told her she embarrassed their department but.. He is not her chef. He is the charter's chef. Just because he cooks the meals for the crew, it doesn't make him their chef. Case and point: Charter guests can say they want A5 wagyu meat and he would have to do his best to source it, as long as he gets advanced notice. Now, even if she gave him 1 year advanced notice, how much do you want to bet that the captain would never allow him to buy that meat just because she requested it?

I’m really disappointed with how Kate was describing how it was to teach Simone. Sure she was right in her assessment, but to make like Simone was a little baby and mimicked baby talk and asking if Simone wanted to play with Play-do. That’s condescending and just plain mean. Look at Captain Lee’s face when she did it. She lost some respect from him. You just don’t treat people under you like that. You may feel like that, but you don’t talk about someone who works for you like that. Actually, you just don’t talk about anyone like that, even if they are not there. To do that on TV, for everyone to see, and something that will stay available on Social Media for the end of time……it’s just not right. Her family will see this, future employers will see this, for Christ sake her kids will one day see this. I think Kate made a big mistake by the way talked about dealing with Simone. She could have said the same thing about Simone in a short and professional way, but she decided to do it the way she did. A show like this becomes interesting because of the people, both crews and guests. Unfortunately in this season there were too many characters that show the worst of bad malicious cold human behavior: Kate, Rhylee, Courtney. And then there are some that are way too boring to have on a show like this: Tanner, Brian and the unbearably dumb and self-centered Courtney. Simone and Ashton where the brighter spots. And Kare remains interesting, despite her selfish maliciousness. They really should have been more selective. Really loved some of the other seasons, but this one was shit guys, even though it was in beautiful Phuket.

I totally disagree. Courtney was so boring. Rhylee was so defensive, insecure and reactive it was annoying AF to watch. If she did not take everything so personally she might have gotten out of her own way and been more readily accepted. She was so incredibly disrespectful to everybody she engaged. Kate was definitely a little brusque in the conversation with Simone, but you have to consider that there's a much smaller learning curve in this job than most others. Plus, you want to provide the guests with the best experience possible, so you use people for their strengths. Simone was a bit of a liability when it came to service: can't cut fruit, can't make simple drinks, can't open wine, doesn't speak with guests. Courtney was better suited for that.

Kate has been mean most of the time. She is not a nice person from previous seasons. She is professional, but not nice. Simone is just too inexperienced to do service. She can ask to be trained nicely, but she should not demand to be put into a position she is not qualified. To stand up for herself is if she is treated badly when she has the ability, and not to get preference treatment when she is not qualified.

I know I'm a little late to this but I just finished this season and Rhylee straight up pissed me off this season and last season as well. She has an abhorrent attitude. She has a problem with authority and instigates issues because of it and her tone. She is unwilling to take direction, is not coachable, and is combative, rebellious, spiteful, and condescending. She continued to stress her desire to learn yet did not possess the willingness to be taught. It was her way and her way only and if someone disagreed with her, she took it as a personal attack. She created issues where there previously were none and acted like she was the victim when in reality it was her that bred the issue. She likes to say she is "reactionary" but really she is just a hot head who took everything so personally and was always on the defensive. Not to say that Ashton wasn't ever in the wrong or couldn't have handled the situation better, but it is difficult to manage someone who has a problem with authority and doesn't respect rank. She was the third deck hand, the bottom of the ranks with the least experience but the most to say. I get it can be hard, especially when you're inherently a sensitive person and take all things to heart, but sometimes you just have to shut your mouth and fall in line and do your job.Your boss makes decisions based upon the experience that you lack. Rhylee doesn't like to be told what to do. Point blank. Not a good quality to have when you're at the bottom of the ranks.

Courtney seems very, very pleased with herself. Sadly she doesn't have an ounce of charm or warmth as a person to offset all that superior energy she's carrying around. Kate, on the other hand, is the undisputed queen of this show: kind, graceful, funny and wise.

It isn't a racial issue, it's about being able to do a job. Simone's skill set is lacking when it comes to service - she said that herself. If you were spending tens of thousands of dollars on a charter, wouldn't you want best possible crew available? Courtney was better at service, it's that simple.

Lisa Melroy I get that, but there needs to be a rotation of duties. It’s not fair that Simone is stuck in the laundry room the whole time. It is Kate’s duty as her direct supervisor to ensure that her staff is sufficiently trained. You don’t just get a job and be expected to know everything. Kate’s problem is that she criticizes Simone, but never offers suggestions on how to improve in certain areas that she’s lacking. That’s not a good boss. She’s horrible and we have seen her train other girls in previous seasons, but she refuses to step in to help Simone

And Simone didn't even talk to them, then lied and said she did. It's a two-way street to me, but, like I said, there's a very short learning curve on a job like this. If I were taking a job, and knew service was my Achilles heel, I would try to learn as much as possible before stepping foot on the yacht. How do I make coffee, or a mimosa, or a smoothie, or open a bottle of wine? (Because let's face it, these guests all drink a lot.) Plus, we still have half the season to go - who knows what might happen?
