What do you think this line's about? Personally I think it's about aes identifying with the "ghost" from the previous line who couldn't understand love, and the next line is about aes breaking free of that mentality, or "orbit" as he crashes to the earth in his jalopey spaceship. Sorry if this is obvious or anything I just love talking/thinking about this music.

not familiar w matmos, but he might be refrencing going in to scavenge or sample beats from them
@ChrisMontgomeryCM3 жыл бұрын
I got you, fam. In this line, he's starting to fly into outer space (metaphorically), despite being a bit drunk. A buzzard is a kind of bird, a bit like a hawk; it is also a nickname that pilots sometimes give to their planes. (In World War I, the British developed a plane called the Buzzard, and it is also the name of a small hobbyist's plane today, in addition to being a general nickname for "a plane," the same way that a pilot might say "let's fly this bird.") "The Matmos" is a weird fictional thing from the VERY weird 1970s sci-fi film "Barbarella." (It's like a liquid, condensed form of evil thoughts, used as a source of power by an alien culture.) So, in essence, "someone get this buzzard to the Matmos" is an allusion-heavy way of saying "SOMEbody is gonna have to fly this plane up to space, way far out there where aliens live, and I guess it's gonna have to be me."
